Dr. Robert John Hannum, DO

Down to earth, listened to me and understood my issues far better than any doctor I’ve ever had an experience with. Very knowledgeable on my specific disability and did a fantastic job explaining more to me than anyone else ever had.

Dr Hannum is great and very knowledgeable! He’s a real professional who gets straight to the point and understands my needs right away. I went to three different doctors before finding Dr Hannum. He listens, doesn’t rush through appointment, asks questions, let’s me speak as much as I need to and patiently explains how medication works. Dr Hannum has been my doctor for over a year and I recommend him to anyone looking for real help.

Makes you feel so comfortable. I’ve been suffering with such bad anxiety over visiting tons of doctors to receive a diagnoses to FIX my LIFE. DR. HUNNAN completely listened to me. He didn’t beat around the bush. He asked me what I wanted out of our visit and he instantly helped me feel at Ease. He never made me feel less than. In fact, he reassured me this was totally normal and not to worry. Wonderful doctor !!!

Dr. Hannum is straight to the point. You will not waste your time or money with him. I had spent hundreds of dollars talking to other specialists about my ADHD despite having a clear genetic component in my family (close family member diagnosed) and having eliminated other causes of my symptoms via unsuccessful pharmacological intervention (anxiety, depression) with a psychiatrist. It was impossible for me to talk to other practitioners about my issues and the ADHD was affecting both my work and personal life. One practitioner wanted me to try some bunk PTSD treatment for my symptoms despite me declining and saying I had already tried that kind of therapy and was not interested. Those symptoms were not what I was looking to address anyhow. Dr. Hannum did for me in 20 minutes what years, a ridiculous amount of money spent, and hours of sessions could not. He asked me twice whether I had any questions about the treatment and I didn't (because I had been struggling to get it for… years). He called in the Rx and that was that. Will be making another appointment ASAP for follow-up, but I feel confident in being taken care of whereas I was always making contingency plans with my other healthcare providers -- would they prescribe me the right amount of medication? Would they actually listen to me or just run with their own biases? Would they be willing to prescribe the medication I actually needed at all? This has been such a struggle for me and I have lost sleep over it. I can now rest soundly.

He does a good job with the elderly - he is not looking to do unnecessary tests which can be difficult for the elderly especially in a senior living environment.
