Partial knee replacementI recently got a Mako plasty knee replacement. The surgery itself takes about an hour you’re out of the surgery room and leaving for home within about three hours the pain is minimal they make the piece to fit your knee perfectly so it fits in without any adjustments Dr. Hartman is an excellent Dr. he came highly recommended and I know why I wouldn’t hesitate to have this again. If the other knee should need it .I would never have an old fashion one I recommend this to anybody who needs knee surgery go to him have your x-rays taken to see if you qualify by all means do this you’ll be up and at it almost back to normal three weeks to a month

I went to Dr. Hartman due to a shoulder and hip problem caused by an accident. He walked in the room and without really doing any exam or x-rays proclaimed he knew exactly what the problem was with both my shoulder and hip. They both needed surgery. First the hip since I would need the strength to get around on crutches and then the shoulder. I came out of the hip surgery and was surprised to see the time. The surgery was supposed to be 2 - 3 hours but I was out in less than an hour. The reason....oops, Dr Hartman was wrong. The labrum and cartilage could not be fixed and instead were removed and instead another procedure was performed which "hopefully will have a great result". Three months later I went in for the shoulder surgery. Once again I was told, oops, the diagnosis was incorrect and in fact I had not only the need to have my rotator cuff addressed but I had also torn the bicep and it had reattached incorrectly over the past year, since the accident. To add… insult to injury, I had to pay for the surgery upfront but was not too worried as the accident was, according to the State Partol100% the other drivers fault so ultimately I would be reimbursed. That did not happen. Dr. Hartman stumbled and bumbled through the deposition and ended up making it seen as though he recommended two surgeries I really did not need. I also find it interesting that as you look for reviews on Dr. Hartman there are very few. He has performed over 10000 surgeries according to the math yet there are fewer than 20 reviews. Sort of strange. If I had it to do all over again I would do much more research to find a doctor who would at least not jump to the conclusion that I needed two surgeries at our first meeting, not to mention the irony of how a great defense attorney turned him into goo.

Went in for a cortisone, was given synvisc without my approval. I was hoping to schedule a surgery a few months later, and would never have approved this more expensive shot...even IF he had discussed it with me...which he did NOT. When questioned, he " adamantly stated he did, and got a bit hot under the collar at being questioned" this was stated to his clinic director 2 1/2 months AFTER I was in his office. I cancelled my surgery which was scheduled for the end of August...that was the soonest they could get me in when I met with him in March...so clearly he is not concerned that he lost a patient.

A dear friend highly recommended Dr. Hartman. I am so greatfull to him. Dr. Hartman did a perfect total knee replacement for me and I am so thrilled to know that soon I will be able to resume my normal activities. I have good movement and very importantly, my legs are the very same length. Thank you Dr. Hartman for caring enough to go the extra mile in your field of expertise. With each step I take I will be smiling knowing that you are giving many others this wonderful new life changing experience! Thank you! I will be highly recommending you.
