Dr. Robert Christopher Herron, MD

I was with merrimack valley family practice since age 18 and currently 38. Dr herron was good to me regarding pumping me with plenty of opiods. He stopped prescribing almost 3 years ago due to a legal matter. Since i couldn't get my medication legally i was forced to buy my medication illegally and then heroin last year i had an overdose, my 1 and only and because i was prescribed perks, methadone and fentanyl from from dr herron i had complete kidney failure and forced intp DIALYSIS. Dr. Herron is an invaluable health advocate. He really understands the busy lifestyle of young and middle age professionals and will spend time to hear your concerns. He is responsive and frank in a way that I find humorous and calming! In some ways, Dr. Herron feels like a family member -- a trust worthy cousin or something -- who happens to be your doctor.

Best Doctor! Has listened and helped when others wouldn't. They don't make you feel like your just another number at a deli.

I am not one to write bad reviews, but I couldnâ??t let this one slide. It is not the first time I have been disappointed by Dr.Herron, the difference now is that Iâ??m an experienced RN, who knows bad health care and a bad physician when I see one. For years I tried to avoid meeting with him, which is wrong that I felt that way in and of itself, but today I could not avoid it and I figured I would give him another chance. I work with doctors every day, I respect them, I understand that it is hard work and I am respectful of their time. I am a generally healthy person, who only goes to the doctors when I need to. I am probably one of the easiest patients for them to deal with because I am very cooperative and I know whatâ??s going on, meaning Iâ??m able to explain simply and quickly what my ailment is. I went to the doctors today for a minor issue that I wanted to get checked out. I also had a couple other questions and concerns I wanted to address while I was there, since I… donâ??t often go. Dr. Herron came into the room, after I had been waiting for 20 minutes, he was obviously in a rush, hardly made eye contact or greeted me. Said, â??so whatâ??s going on?â?? staring at his computer. I told him and we addressed that issue within 5 minutes. I then said, â??I know youâ??re busy, I just have two other concerns that I wanted to ask you about, I will be quick.â?? He said, â??I donâ??t have time for two other concerns, Iâ??m already late for my next appointment.â?? He then left the room for a minute and the nurse came in. I was upset and vented to her, she felt sorry for me and apologized on his behalf. Iâ??m still upset, enough for me to take time out of my busy schedule to write this detailed review. Though I was a little sad when I left, because he made me feel like I didnâ??t matter, I am a strong person who is not easily intimidated. I got over it quickly and will move forward in finding a new primary care physician. I feel sorry for the easily intimidated person, who may be less educated, who may not feel confident enough to seek out a second opinion when Dr. Herron either ignores or misdiagnoses their health condition. God forbid my two other issues were something serious like chest pain, for example, he would have never known, nor would he have cared in my opinion. Dr.Herron should not be primary care physician, he should be doing something that doesnâ??t involve interacting with people. His practice is impersonal, irresponsible, and has the potential to cause harm to patients. Needless to say, I do not recommend him as a PCP.

No hesitation recommending. Good bedside manner, nice guy, smart, and good at his job. I've had some health scares (abnormal labs) and always get a quick response, even on the weekends.

I have been going to Dr. Herron for over ten years. He is without question an exceptional physician, and a wonderful person. Always listens, and you never feel rushed. His advice and care have always been accurate and solved whatever problem I was experiencing. He is worth the wait for any appointments I assure you. I am in education and he gets an A+

I've had him as a primary for a few years. He's great!

Dr Herron is very in tune with not only your physical health but your mental health. It has been a pleasure to use him as my primary for over 5 years now.Jon

Dr. Herron is an exceptional doctor, who I'm happy to wait for an appointment for. He's compassionate and friendly, with the best communication skills of any Medical professional that I've ever worked with. Highly recommended!

have to wait nearly six months to get an appointment for a physical. ridiculous!
