Dr. Robert Thomas Higginbotham III, MD

He is so kind to my child and always takes the time to listen to my concerns and address all of them!

Both of my children have been patients of Dr. Higgenbothem for 10 years, since he first began practicing. We have recommended numerous people to him and ALL have been very happy.If you are a parent that wants the doctor to talk ONLY to YOU... Higgenbothem probably isn't a good fit. He asks the CHILD questions about how the feel and treats the child like the patient... not the parent. He is never rushed and takes plenty of time to answer questions, talks with us to determine causes and patterns rather than immediately writing a prescription for everything.We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Higgenbothem.

I put alot of trust into this doctor, and I feel very betrayed. My son has been having headaches for quite awhile. He had a CT in the emergency room that showed a possible tumor. When the report was sent to Dr. Higginbotham, he decided that it was scarring from a previous episode of meningitis and did not send him for an MRI or follow up with a neurologist as the CT report suggested. I trusted him and went with what he said. A year later, at the suggestion of a different pediatrician, we had an MRI and 6 weeks later my son had a craniotomy to try and remove the tumor, which has caused brain damage. Our lives will never be the same.

Dr. Higginbotham seems nice. The two visits we have had with him--we waited an excessive amount of time to be seen. One visit was a sick visit and the other was an annual visit. We did not wait in the office area but the actual room where you see the doctor. He has a strange way of handling children. He thinks he's being funny, but I think he actually hurts my child while he's 'joking around'. I will be shopping for a new doctor for my children. The wait time is just not worth it and his sense of humor is misunderstood and not welcome.

Dr. Higginbotham is a wonderful doctor. My son had complications soon after being born, and he followed up with me on my son's health, and after my son got to come home, he showed a LOT of care and concern for him on his 1st doctor's visit and every one of them thereafter. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer every question. I'm a new mom, and he helps to put my mind at ease on my different worries/concerns, and is patient with me and my son. Dr. Higginbotham is an excellent doctor!! :)

Dr Higgy, as my twin boys refer to him, is fantastic. They have been seeing him for 6 years since they were 10, and he is always very patient with them. He has a great bedside manor and is easy to talk to.
