Dr. Robert Owen Holt, MD

My family doctor does not want me to be on estrogen .To me my hormone pills are a very important part of my life. My family sees the big difference when I am taking them and when I am not. I become moody and depressed .No energy are just a part of the reason I need to stay on them I would rather have the best quality of life than a longer life .He under stands this and is not forcing me off of them I want to cooperate with him as he is willing to do for me so I am willing to try a different way on a trial basis I am not happy about it but I will do it out of fairness to him.I hate not taking my estratest I am miserable in several ways .even though I am on a very low dosage It feels like I am to exhausted to even type this .I am sadder every day I feel the depression taking over .Hot flashes are like someone is shooting fire up my back to my neck I hate being hot !!!I feel pretty much alone in a house full of people.I am angry one min and sad the next up and down emotions all the… time. God I hate this I just want to be me again I want my hormones back.Don't let any one fool you in to thinking they are no big deal because they are!They do many things in your body not just 1 or 2 functions This is what I was trying to explain to Dr Holt.I didn't do a very good job of explaining it to him But some how I think he knew what I was trying to say because he kept reassuring me that he would put me back on them if I needed to have them for a better quality of my life.He just wanted me to try it first .So I am I want to be fair to him.I trust him .He has been my gyn for many years He has not let me down yet.If you want the best ob gyn He is the one to go to.

Dr.holt is a good doctor but, his staff sucks..they call my wife on a Mon. And say we have found cancer cells and you need to come in this wed because this changes everything. We go in on wed.And they say you have to pay your bill from the last visit before you can be seen or talk to the doctor and tells my wife a couple of weeks or months won't make a difference(didn't say that on Mon.). We comye back with insurance and now the say can't see you without an I'd which we never needed before since our home was robbed and id's aren't given out the same day anymore.We ask to see the doctor and again we are told no instead they call back by herself to try and lie by saying they told her that. She asked for medical records and left I really thought cancer was a critical thing especially for woman and so many people try help in the world but this is not one of those places....

Went to Dr Holt for a consult. Thought he was very knowledgable and easy to talk with. He explained everything very clearly to me. The only downside to visit was the wait time. I believe this to be a front office issue as I go to this practice for other reasons and always experience a longer wait than anticipated. However, since the dr spends as much time with you as you need, I guess the wait is worth it in the end. I would def recommmend Dr holt to anyone needing an ob/gyn.

Doctor Holt was a great doctor. Always cared about how you felt.
