My 28 yr old son who suffers from general depression and anxiety, moved to Nashville and was given Dr. Hunt's name as a referral. After his first appointment (3 hours) Dr. Hunt wrote out 6 prescriptions which the pharmacy refused to fill. They said my son would be dead if he took all of them. After giving him the benefit of the doubt, and revising the prescriptions, my son basically lived like a zombie, couldn't function, and completely withdrew for several months. He started wetting the bed and couldn't communicate. We pulled him out of his care and took him to a new doctor at Vandy. They immediately took him off 4 of the medications and told us that two of them should have never been taken together in the first place. They also told us that what we were told was a sleeping pill was actually a bipolar medication and sedative, and the dosage he was given would knock out a horse. Now, 6 days after being pulled off the other 4 medicines, he is finally back to normal. Dr. Hunt is in his… 70's, and is losing his memory. After 5-6 hour long sessions, he couldn't even remember my son's name and he forgot what he was treating him for. All of his letters have grammar and spelling mistakes, and he almost always messed up his prescriptions by misspelling my son's name and or putting the wrong birth date down. There is too much to write here, just trust me when I say to STAY AWAY.

I went to dr. Hunt as a hooked on pain killers and now 8 yrs later still clean I had severe add but since i want ADHD and I want a distraction no card just dumb or lazy... he also told me to kick my wife to curve and he was right next move ever. Nor has he ever pushed any pills on me so from me I thank you Doctor hunt from the bottom of my heart

Dr. Hunt tries to paralyze you as a human. He literally used my weakness and his concoction of medoxarions to make me weaknans vulnerable. O blamed everyone around me as Dr. Hunt tried blaming my failing relationship on my husband. He practically told me to leave him and that he (Dr. Hunt) loved me. Whenbibwouks question my meds, he would blame it on my failing psyche. He prescribed me an antidepressant, 3 amphetamines, anxiety meds and wouldnchsnge them up as my conditions worsened. I was suicidal and took all my issues out on family, friends and myself. The cure??? Seeing a real doctor. I've been off all meds except an antidepressant for 2 years. No issues now. He is a pill pusher that needs stopped. My son also does not have ADHD.

Our son saw Dr. Hunt for a couple of years and in hindsight it was a disaster. Our son was over medicated. Write ups we received from him documenting our son often contained inaccurate statements. The final straw was our son had to withdraw from college a month from graduation due to anxiety and depression. The letter Dr. Hunt eventually wrote to support the medical withdrawal was the most bizarre letter I’ve ever read. It had the name of the school wrong, my son’s major wrong, and talked about his (Dr. Hunt’s) ballroom dancing awards. The letter was dripping with ego. I’m surprised the school accepted the letter. Needless to say, he sees another psychiatrist. He also seemed to chase the $.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Hunt for many years. Both have seen him for different reasons and have always felt he was very concerned and helpful. As a patient I don't feel his personal life is my business. He helped me with panic attacks when no other Dr. had been able to. I give him an excellent rating on that alone.

Dr. Hunt helped me with depression and ADD. He really helped turned things around for me over a decade ago and I continue to see him occasionally. I found him caring, attentive and professional. He does not talk about himself, as another reviewer claimed.

Dr. Hunt may not be for everyone but he really helped me.

I have been seeing Dr. Hunt for over 4 years and he has truly taken the time to listen to me and address the diagnoses thoroughly and treat with cutting edge therapies. He is extremely personable and I feel like I'm treated like family by him and his staff. As a clinician myself I do not settle for average providers. He is sets the bar for his field and had brought a drug to market that has been life changing for both me, my patients, and likely thousands across the country. He's even been in NIH advisory board for psyche. Definitely the clinician to see for both adults and children struggling with attention and focus.

this man does more damage than good. he is very selfish. all he did was talk about himself. he never seriously tried to help. all he did was accept my money---and his secretary/girlfriend was dismissive and rude.
