Dr. Robert Lee Hunter, DO

No compassion. No actual care for his nursing home patients. He doesn't believe pain exists, despite my parent having multiple broken bones, surgeries, and injuries from an accident. We saw him twice - once on admission, another time to ensure pain medications were given because he didn't bother prescribing them. He also delayed ordering labs and prescribing antibiotics that could have saved my parents life. Instead, there was pain and a great deal of suffering until they went into hospice care and ultimately passed. He then lied to a state inspector when a complaint was filed, saying he'd been in contact with the family about the care plan and that he had recommended hospice. We never heard from him about this situation. If you have the misfortune of having a loved one under his care, be sure to advocate for them CONSTANTLY. And if you think you're loved one needs to go to the hospital, DEMAND IT, because he won't send them since he doesn't get paid when they're not directly under… his care.

Very unprofessional and seems to be lacking knowledge of pain

Accepted my family into his practice, when I was turned away everywhere else. Gave me immediate appointments. Cured my skin disorder, that the other doctors said I would just have to live with. Always treated me and my family with compassion and respect.

I had this doctor for 10 years, My doctor was Robert Hunter then i got switch to many other doctors, said part was non of them help me that well, I live in pain because they do not believe in pain meds. I never once ask for a pain meds but I would like to live pain free one day..

Has no compassion, is condescending , and disrespectful.

Dr. Hunter was very professional , loved the way I was treated by the whole staff.

Not impressed with the office staff, but they aren't his employees- they are hired by PRiovidence, I beleive. Very happy with the Dr.- friendly, knowledgable, and really listens.

I would not recommend this doctor. I was under his care for several weeks at a rehab facility following surgery and I saw him once when I checked in. The rest of the time I was cared for by a nurse practicioner. I was put on meds that I did not need.
