As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I work with adolescents and adults suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sleep disorders, and mood disorders. With over 15 years of psychiatric experience, I have found that many people can improve their mental health through psychoeducation, medications, and lifestyle modifications to become the best version of themselves. Each mental health care plan is individualized and tailored to the needs of the client. This unique treatment plan is the starting point in personal empowerment and can include CBT, DBT, personalized therapy, lifestyle modification, and medications if needed. As a clinician, I provide a non-judgmental, collaborative approach that is client-centered for each patient. This approach incorporates multiple modalities of therapy, lifestyle modification, and medication management. I also use an integrative and holistic approach to help clients achieve overall wellness and become …the best version of themselves. When appropriate, I provide a combination of evidence-based therapeutic modalities in conjunction with psychopharmacology to create a comprehensive treatment plan that meets each client's individual needs. After becoming a registered nurse in 2013, I completed my BSN through SIUE in 2015. I earned my MSN from Walden University in 2022. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and enjoying the outdoors. My wife and I live in Iowa with our three children, who range in age from 10 to 2 years old. We also have a large dog that we enjoy taking on walks.
