Dr. Robert William Jensen, MD

Kind, thorough, got my problem correctly diagnosed, checked in on me several times to make sure my pain was being adequately managed while I was there, and I was discharged with clear and thorough instructions. Yes, there was a wait, but the ER was plenty busy so that's very understandable and not unexpected.

My son got a piece of metal in his eye, and needed it removed. Dr. Jensen was courteous, knowledgable, explained the procedure thoroughly, and helped alleviate my son's eye pain and irritation. The negative comments here, are not congruent with our experience of Dr. Jensen at all. He seemed very professional, and he was helpful and knowledgable. Thank you, Dr. Jensen, for helping my son this morning. We both appreciate your help, and we are both grateful that you were able to remove the metal shaving from his eye. Bozeman resident

Because my blood pressure had been 180/90 + for over an hour and a half, I chose to go to ER, that was much higher than my normal readings. The other 2 times I went to ER my blood was checked and potassium medicine administered as my level was real low. Dr Jensen met me and shook mine and a friends hands, and advised me I was having “anxiety attach and should take Lorazepam to calm down”. I finally agreed to 1/2 dose, so I could go home. I’m sure he was increasing my anxiety level. During my time there, he shook our hands three different times. I would have preferred treatment for cause of high blood pressure to shaking hands.

I’ve (unfortunately) seen this doctor twice now and each time is worse than the last. I went in for a back Injury that was sustained at work, meaning I HAD to go in to be checked out. Had a severely strained lower back and explained many times that I had been taking Tylenol and it wasn’t helping. He refused to give me anything to help with breakthrough pain and blatantly treated me like a drug addict. I left with 9/10 pain and could hear him laughing with his coworkers (using my first name) about me. He did not offer an x ray or anything to help me figure out exactly what was causing my pain. He was rude and had no compassion for a hard worker (that works at the same hospital he is employed at) who needed some relief from horrible pain. Recently, I went in for an infected abscess to be lanced and taken care of. I had to basically demand that he lance it before it ruptured on its own and caused an even greater infection. Apparently his way of providing care was to inject me once… with a tiny amount of lidocaine and then go at it with a scalpel and scissors as I consistently told him it was not numb at all. He then packed it (again after I insisted that he did it the proper way to ensure it could drain) and stuck a bandaid over it. Told me to take Tylenol and left. Did not give me a chance to mention that I had been taking that for two days with no relief. Sent me on my way with a surgical wound and nothing to help with pain. Again, he was rude and arrogant the entire process making it uncomfortable for me. He made me feel like an idiot who can’t handle discomfort. In my opinion, that’s never the way a doctor should make you feel. Treating everyone as a drug addict is a horrible way of doing your job. Recognizing when someone needs something is as important as recognizing when they don’t. Overall, avoid this man at all costs. I would willingly drive to the next town next time I am able and need emergency services. He will be hearing from the state board with a formal complaint of negligent practicing.

Extremely rude and arrogant.. This man refused to run a simple blood test and also blatantly accused me of being a meth addict said there is no way possible that I have either chicken pox or shingle. Stated he would not help me anymore than giving me Benedryl or prednisone (to which I explained I can not take prednisone ) and tell me to go home. Not to mention that my bp was 180over 91 (extremely high stroke level ) he stated I was fine... If blood test shows chicken pox or shingles Robert Jensen absolutely will be hearing from my attorney
