After attending medical school in Virginia, Dr. Johansen performed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He then attended a prestigious Joint Replacement Fellowship at Florida Orthopedic Institute, PLLC where he became proficient in hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle replacement surgeries. Dr. Johansen has been serving patients on the MS Gulf Coast for the last 25 years. He has performed thousands of successful Joint Replacement Surgeries. He is a competent, compassionate physician who puts his patients first. Dr. Johansen has helped design numerous orthopedic implants. He has also helped train surgeons from around the world on how to perform joint replacement …surgery. He has been married to his wife, Tamela, for 23 years and has four beautiful children. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. Dr. Johansen has outstanding results and wants to give his patients the best outcome possible.
