Dr. Robert Talbot Jones, MD

I saw Dr. Jones for extreme ankle/foot pain, I came in barely able to walk and was crying from the pain after the X-rays, Dr. Jones seemed to be irritated by me and really rushed through everything with me and it felt as if everything I said went in one ear and out of the other, He looked at my X-rays for about 20 seconds and proceeded to tell me nothing was wrong and gave me a boot and sent me on my way. Well 4 days later my swelling, pain, and bruising is extremely worse and I end up in the ER, come to find out my bone is severely chipped. So thanks for all your help.

Excellent Dr. Demonstrated and explained everything as he walked me through a diagnosis. He gave choices on how to proceed and clear directions about when I needed to return Very personable as well. I highly recommend him

I was very happy with Dr. Jones. He was professional, listened well and took the time to thoroughly explain the break in my foot. I worked in a health care environment my entire life and I think that I am very critical about how patients are treated. I thought that Dr. Jones and the staff did everything possible to make my visit everything that it should be.

Due to having a foot injury, I took advantage of Tria's "walk in" service after I finished work. The staff was incredible - all were friendly and helpful. I had never met Dr. Jones before and I was so impressed with his attention to detail, his explanations about what was wrong with my foot, and his reassurance about what could be done to make my recovery easier. He reviewed the x-rays taken of my foot with me, explained how long healing usually takes, and encouraged me to call him with any problems or questions that may arise. I have worked in health care for over 40 years and have rarely met physicians with his skill & attention to detail. I have already recommended him to other friends.

I saw Dr Jones a few years ago for stress fractures of my foot. His treatment was correct and I was fine within a few weeks. This time it was for knee pain. He gave me a cortisone injection and the pain was gone. The may be some additional issues but I won't see anyone other than Dr Jones. We get along well, he's kind and spends the needed time to diagnose and treat the problem.

The other 2 not so great reviews hit my experience with Dr. Jones on the nose. I have seen him for 2 different injuries now, and am equally displeased in each. I did catch an air of arrogance about him, and also couldn't help but get the feeling that he was trying to rush me out. Similar to another reviewer I felt as if though he heard what I was saying but just let it go in one ear and out the other until I was done talking. The first injury was my shoulder. I had been having the pain for months and finally decided to come in. He looked at my x-ray for maybe 20-30 seconds if that and said he didn't see anything, gave a sling and told me to come in if it wasn't better in 2 weeks. I went back in about a week later to see a different doctor. She pulled my x-rays up and identified a SLAP tear in about 30 seconds. She had me on my way with a cortisone shot and a couple of great placed to go for rehabilitation sessions in about 15 minutes. The 2nd time I went was a year and a half… later. Very similar experience with Dr. Jones. Had tom go see a different doctor again to get it diagnosed properly again. He just didn't seem to give me or my condition the time of day. He seemed like he was a decent guy outside the office, but as far as seeing him for an injury I would say see somebody else unless it is not a very serious one. Even if he did treat my injuries properly, his attitude, tone and body language would still have made me leave unhappy.

I have visited Dr Jones twice now for a knee injury and I felt like I was having a conversation with a friend. He spent a lot more time with me than was expected. He was very thorough as well as informative with any questions or concerns that I may have had. A follow up was not required on his part. My recovery and notifying him of things that may come up that are unexpected are my responsibility to get ahold of him. If I needed to get ahold of either him or the clinic I feel confident that I would be attended to in a timely and compassionate manner. I would recommend Dr Jone and Tria to anyone.

Similar to the other reviewer, I felt no sense of compassion or care from Dr. Jones. While I know he HEARD me, I felt he didn't really LISTEN, and was more concerned with fitting my symptoms into a box of predetermined potential diagnosis. My condition came with severe pain, over the course of a week or two, and Dr. Jones didn't follow up with me once to check in on my condition, or to chart the symptom pattern. Along with this, it seemed he could never get out of the room, and end the appointment, fast enough. Like he had a bunch of other stuff to get to at all times. This isn't a personal attack, as I'm sure he's a nice person, but my 4 visits with Dr. Jones left me feeling frustrated and like I was starting at square one with no course of action, in the middle of a really painful experience.

Overall, let me say that the three times I have been to TRIA have been wonderful. From check-in to discharge, I have found everyone to be helpful, positive and caring. I still rant about the how I was treated like a king! Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Jones was less than desirable. I found him to have an air of arrogance, nonchalant body language and poor listening skills.
