Dr. Robert W Jyung, MD

I wish I could rate the physician and his staff separately, however, they are part of the same package. I work in a hospital, and during the pandemic I had a health issue that arose that I sought care for. I was given Dr. Jyung's name by the head of ENT at my hospital. With this high recommendation, I thought the service and care I would receive would reflect that. It did not. Long wait times for appointments, poor communication from staff, multiple billing errors. After having to be sent for multiple tests, I had billing errors with every single one that I had to fix since the office was unwilling or inefficient in doing so. Not only that, I was sent for a test at a facility that did not take my insurance, ironically also at University Hospital where the doctor practices. Why are they sending patients to facilities that do not accept their insurance? It sounds to me like University hospital needs extra fees to bill and this is more important to them than the care of their patients.… Needless to say, after fighting with the office in regards to why I was sent somewhere that did not cover my insurance when I have coverage for tests, they sent the bill to collections. For an error that THEY caused. Patient care coordination is the job of the physician and this office fails. While I had an acceptable experience with Dr. Jyung, a physician is only as strong as the office who supports him, and this staff is nonexistent and abysmal.

He is the best DR

Dr. Jyung is a good doctor. I had surgery on both my ears with him and surgery went OK. Except for my second surgery where I was left with hoarseness. I have seen several doctors after but not one of them seems to be able to know what went wrong. His office staff is a bit rude overall. It seems like most of them do not want to be there. I contacted his office about a bill for post follow up I received in the mail. I spoke to Sandra from billing and explained to her that their office had rescheduled the post op appointment to a later date and she was very rude in telling me that there was nothing they could do since the visit was out of date. Even after explaining to her that they had rescheduled she simply discarded my concerns and said I was still responsible for the copay. Therefore beware and make sure that they do not schedule your post ops out of date so you do not have to put up with this nonsense.

He is absolutely the best doctor I have ever met. I admire him for his bedside manners and his vast knowledge of medicine.
