Dr. Robert Bruce Kaler, MD

Terrible dr. Said he knew nothing about spine or neck injuries. Made it clear he was just a secretary for L & I claims. Never examined nor treated. Said hands were tied and his job was to side with IME report wgther it was accurate or not. Closed my claim when I was as Swedish hospital without seeing me said I was cleared to return to work full duty???!!! So rude, did absolutely nothing for me. Told me if I saw 10 drs I would get 10 different oppinions and to hire an attorney.

Dr Kaler is an Occupational Medicine (work injury) physician and is frequently very pleasant although he has a low tolerance for people who present only general, low-grade symptoms after reasonable treatment and/or precautions. Also, patients who frequently complain about non-medical (ie. employer relations) issues or that interrupt him when he is trying to talk don't typically get his sympathy. My recommendation, is to be specific and brief about what bothers you and try not to repeat too much. He's not deaf...yet. Also, be a good listener, and ask good medical (or at least claim-related) questions. He probably won't explain all the details of how Worker's Comp works, but he has a lot of experience and he really does care. His staff loves him too! In addition, he speaks and understands a fair amount of Spanish and enjoys using it to the best of his ability.

Horrible experience has no bedside manner, rude makes you feel like your a waste of his time and just another pile of paperwork that he wont get paid enough for doing. Will never reccommend him or US healthworks.
