I went to Dr Kalish several months ago because every other doctor in the area had a waiting list of at least a week. I was turned off after reading prior reviews but was in crisis and needed something to change. It turned out to be a great decision. My therapy sessions didn't feel like the cookie cutter garbage I had sat through so many times in the past. Dr Kalish listens but he also has a way of relating his own life experience and showing you you aren't alone in how you feel. My therapy felt more like a conversation that allowed reflection more than anything else. He is highly intelligent and listens very well but will also not be shackled by political correctness or having a recent college grad at the insurance company dictate how he should practice medicine. I don't fault any of the negative reviewers...The good Dr is OLD and frankly I don't think he gives a #$%^ about 21st century medicine. That said, he helped me out of one of the worst valleys I've ever experienced. If you… watch reality tv, like telling people you have a "therapist", want to be coddled, or are simply looking for a "script" I'd suggest looking into someone else. It really is about what works for you in the end. The important thing is taking that step and calling SOMEONE! Good Luck
