Dr. Robert Phillip Kaplan, DO

What can I say other than I luv my doctor ?????

Have seen Kaplan for years, his office was good. But the last 4 years, it has really gone downhill. Staff are rude, long waitimes. I have waited over 2 hours for my last 3 appointments. He does spend some time with you but it is less and less yet he is further and further behind on his schedule. I guess he just needs the money at this point (he is quite a bit older) and is cramming patients into his schedule. At this point, I do NOT recommend.

Kaplan, I don’t even respect him enough to say what he is, is an arrogant, rude, condescending, sexist and overall horrible person. I stopped by his office to see if I wanted to become a patient of his and I was so horribly treated. His front office staff were very disrespectful. They would argue over me saying certain things about what I was there for, they did not know what they were talking about, they were on their phones the whole time speaking with me and then they would proceed to speak poorly not only of me but other patients. I met Kaplan for a quick second while he was walking out a person and he was also very condescending, disrespectful and arrogant. I am in medical mind you so I do know a lot and he sat there stating things that just weren’t true and making up solutions to a problem that I have. I was initially going there to get a PCP so I can get general and emergent care. This man I don’t know how he passed his MCATs and became what he is because he is down right… ignorant. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about and makes himself sound very uneducated. He said that women need to be homemakers and i wouldn’t be there to get an appointment for me being sick if I wasn’t working. “Men are superior to women” he stated. He is horribly rude and I will be reporting him to the correct agencies necessary.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kaplan for close to 20 years He is very caring and listens to you. His staff is the best . Thank you for being there. Carol Ferrara

Dr Kaplan gave me the most complete physical ever and was not shy about sending me to specialists. I brought a friend to him who ultimately was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Kaplan personally called a specialist while seeing my friend to make sure my friend was seen the next day. Office wait time? I am happy to wait longer because I know Dr. Kaplan is giving needed help to someone, just as he did for my friend and I.

1.5 hour wait, every time except you first and second visit. Receptionist rude and unprofessional. All other staff o.k.

I HAD TO WAIT UP TO TWO HOURS BEFORE I WAS SEEN,HE WAS ARROGANT,BRAGGED ABOUT HIS WEALTH,GAVE ME BAD ADVICE ACCORDING TO 3 OF MY OTHER DOCTORS,I HAD TO WAIT 3 DAYS FOR A CALL BACK FOR A PRESCRIPTION,THE ONE THEY CALLED IN WAS NOT COVERED BY MY INSURANCE,WHEN THE PHARMACIST INFORMED THEM,I GOT A CALL FROM THEM 6 WEEKS LATER,WHEN I RETURNED THERE CALL TO INFORM THEM I CHANGED DOCTORS,THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 22 MINUTES

Dr Kaplan is a warm and caring doctor. He takes the time to listen to the patient and is not in a hurry to get to the next patient. His nurses and office staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Dr Kaplan is my choice as long as I need a Dr.

at first i was not sure,but after awhile i new dr. kaplan was doing a good job how because everything he was saying ,turned out right so the bed side manner might not be everything one wants. but are you there for diagnosis,or getting answers? I will go back.

I really liked Doctor Kaplan and saw him for a few years. I don't tolerate doctors wasting my time and I don't waste theirs. I tired repeatedly to find some way to work with Dr. Kaplan so I could get in and out of his office in a reasonable time. I finally arrived at the only viable option; which was securing the first appointment of the day. And he was still solidly late. I wrote him a letter detailing my problem and asked him to pay me for wasting my time. He did not reimburse me as requested; but did call to apologize. Which is leaps ahead of many doctors these days. He admitted that being on time for him is an issue. I replaced him with another doctor; but still think he could be a great doctor with some minor scheduling changes.
