Dr. Robert David Kistler, MD

I have been going to Dr. Kistler's office for about 6 years. The first two times I went to the office I saw Dr. Kistler after that I was assigned to a Physicians Assistant. Every time I went, I was given a hard sell for medication that I wasn't convinced I needed. When I questioned the PA about alternative treatments, he responded disrespectfully as if I didn't have the right to question his judgement. It got to the point where I hated going to the doctor and put off regular visits in order to avoid the awkward exchange. Now they have finally refused to continue to re-fill the prescription of my allergy and asthma medicine...so I will be switching to a doctor that will honor my wishes and work with me to stay off of unnecessary prescriptions.

You make an appointment with him and he sends in a PA and he misdiagnosed and forgot to call in prescription.

I've only been there a few times as a patient. I have been treated like I was a drug seeker. I made several calls to his office and was never called back. I was told that that my pain was not due to Kidney stones that I had to of hurt my back some how. I was given 3 weeks of test and labs and still no one would listen that my left kidney was small and I was born this way and it was hurting. I was also told that I might not get the drugs I wanted which made me feel as tho I was someone that was bad. after over $1,000.00 worth of test, labs, and Dr. visits ct scans they found stones within my left kidney, which i was again told that should not be hurting me. I will be having my stones removed in a few days by my kidney specialist. My husband and I will not be returning to his office.

My mom used this guy for years.She’s a type 2 diabetic. He would not give her a renewal on prescription of test strips for glucose monitor. Told her she didn’t need to check her sugar. He has her on 2000mg Metformin. She finally told him to take a hike. She’s changing doctors. He is a joke!! And I would give no star if I could.

I gave info for my mom to that office and it took them 3 weeks to look over it as we waited to find another doctor for my mom. I called the office three times for any status and finally on the last call i was told that he finally made a decision that he wasn't going to take my mom. They couldn't call me and let me know so i could continue my search. That was very inconsiderate.

I really like the Doctor, unfortunately the office staff is horrible. They do not get back with you in a timely manner. I have found another Doctor. If I cannot get help from the staff then I had no choice then to find a Doctor with a staff who cares enough to try me a patient right. Sorry Doc, you staff can make you or break you and yours is broken.

On my last visit he told me I was "not his kind of patient." His patients are compliant and do what he tells them. OMG!! Last time I'm ever going to him. I've been with him for close to 3 years and this is how he views me?

He is only interested in the dollar. Don't waste your time!

This doctor is pretty good at figuring out what is wrong with you, but he and his staff are very rude. I would suggest you to go everywhere else before you ever come here, or the in-and-out clinic, which is also affiliated with him.
