Dr. Robert Michael Kocur, MD

Dr. Kocur is very unprofessional. He asks personal questions like why don’t you have kids. He’ll ask what you paid for your house and criticize you if you paid more than he thought you should have paid (I didn’t tell him what we paid but without knowing anything about my house he put a price tag on it). He will criticize you if you’re divorced and ask what you did to run off your ex and call it a joke. It’s a negative experience and he complains about how much he hates central Illinois all the time but he won’t fly because he hates sitting in roach “aka coach” but won’t pay for first class. If you don’t want any of your allergy concerns resolved, want the most uncomfortable conversations, and what to be criticized for your life choices … then he’s your guy.

I love Dr. Kocur he is easy to talk to and explains things very well. He asks about family and has a genuine concern for me as a patient.

I'm shocked to see a bad review of Dr. Kocur and to see they say he was rude. He was anything but rude to me. I wasn't the happiest that I had to wait almost 30+ minutes to be seen but I now have a better understanding of why. He was extremely thorough, asked lots of questions, and listened to everything I had to say. I actually felt silly being there and almost cancelled as I was pretty sure my baby did not need any testing (I was right) and I expressed that to him. He made me feel anything but and even shared some of his personal stories with his children to show me he understood where I was coming from and how a mom can sometimes be desperate (especially with a lack of sleep) and want answers. He was so great with my little guy the entire time we were there. I would and will recommend Dr. Kocur if anyone is looking for an allergist. Again - I'm shocked to hear that anyone had a bad experience with him because he was so great from the get go!

I'm shocked to see people say Dr. Kocur was rude. I felt he was anything but. To be honest I felt silly going to him as I had figured my baby didn't need allergy testing (I was right) but never once made me feel silly or dumb and told me personal stories that helped me relate to him and see he could understand where I was coming from with my concerns. He was great with my baby. Again..I'm shocked to see bad reviews because I left thinking how wonderful the experience was and how great he was. I would and will recommend him to anyone who needs to see an allergist in town!

Easy to talk to. He answered my questions and gave me a plan going forward to deal with my allergy and sinus problems. Highly recommended.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Kocur. I am impressed beyond anything I've ever seen a doctor do. He talked with my kids above and beyond what he needed to do. Highly recommend. Just an amazing person.

We saw Dr. Kocur about our son's possible food allergies. He took his time explaining everything to us as far as how food allergies present and how the testing works. He was very respectful to us and to our son, who is autistic. I am very surprised to see any negative reviews because our experience was so positive. His staff was also very courteous. We had a very short wait even though we arrived early.

I took my child to Dr. Kocur for allergy testing. The doctor was rude, antagonistic, controlling and demeaning to us the entire visit. He led the conversation in directions that had nothing to do with allergies and then turned those into opportunities to argue with us and insult us. He did not explain the process of the testing. He seemed to greatly enjoy my child’s discomfort, and seemed to prolong it unnecessarily with sarcastic answers to our questions. He bragged about how he was the best allergist in the area and mentioned other allergists by name and their work history which I thought was pretty unethical. I feel violated by the whole experience and deeply regret that we didn’t just walk out mid-appointment.

I was billed for 9K in services that were never rendered. Watch your bills online and read between every line. Currently fighting this bill with (insurance company agrees with the wrong billing) and this has taken hours of my time.

Worst customer service.. That is all I will write, I wont waste anymore time.
