Rude dude.

Been going to him for about a year and he has been no help to me with my diabetes. I have already left his practice a need to find a new endocrinologist.

So rude and condescending that he does not even deserve one star.

I don't need a doctor to be my "friend"- bedside manner doesn't matter to me. The issue I had, was waiting 1-2 hours EVERY appt.- just to get in the room with him. When he entered, he was rude, short, condescending and acted irritated to have to treat me. The most insensitive experience ever. Putting all that aside, I had a thyroid biopsy. After waiting a WEEK for results (that they could have called to tell me to ease my mind)- I waited an hour and a half in the office to hear him say "no- you don't have cancer". The hour and a half spent waiting in that office to hear that, was the worst hour and a half of my life. Not to mention that week of anxiety leading up to that. Needless to say, it was the last time I stepped foot in that dirty, disorganized Dr's office. I like to two positive reviews below that were clearly posted by him or a member of his staff (so specific- even mentioning parking lot improvements?) Nice try at helping your horrible - but deserved low… ratings on line.

Very late with his appointments, rude and uncaring. Needs to retire because he seems tired of being an endocrinologist. .

What are the top 3 traits that you look for in an endocrinologist? After years of mismanagement by the "best" specialists on both the east and west coasts, I have concluded that the most important traits you can find in a specialist are 1) diagnostic expertise 2) command of analysis of possible outcomes 3) attention to details of verbalized symptoms and diagnostic tests. If your must-haves for your endo are warmth, a sympathetic bond, and unreserved geniality, then this is not likely the doctor for you. However, you would be hard pressed to find a better endocrinologist than Dr. LaMantia in this region, or in many other areas for that matter. Is it a trade-off? Sure. Is it worth it? Absolutely.

Not too happy with this doctor. Rude and does not take time to listen to my concerns and will not answer my questions. He needs to retire.

Does not care about patients

If you want a pal who is going to discuss family and friends along with your pets and the latest football scores, then choose another doctor. If you 're looking for a doctor who doesn't mince words when talking about what you need to do to keep you healthy, then Dr. Lamentia will take good care of you. He's all business and that isn't going to change. If you're like me who blows off finger sticks and correct diet, then his severe persona will definitely cause you to sit up and take notice and I need that. I have about four or five ailments for which I am being treated only two of which had been previously treated. He has gotten everything under control and who knows what kind of situation I would be in today if I hadn't been referred to Dr. Lamentia. As far as his office looks and location, he has just recently remodeled the office and enlarged the parking lot. In some ways the hominess of his facilities is relaxing. And speaking of location, it very easy to get to.
