Dr. Lajvardi is very knowledgeable, and has helped me with a number of different conditions. He listens, and is compassionate and understanding. He has kept me up-to-date on all my tests and bloodwork. When my previous doctor retired from Encompass after a number of years of excellent care, I didn't know if I should leave or not, but am glad I didn't. Dr. Lajvardi has been excellent, and the office staff at Encompass has remained kind and competent to deal with.

I lamented the loss of my “old” physician when I moved to San Diego from Illinois and fully expected to sample a number of physicians before finding a keeper. I started with Dr. Robert Lajvardi based on his education and experience and am still a patient. He started with a thorough work-up to establish a solid baseline for care and carefully investigates new concerns. He’s been my family doctor for 7+ years

Friendly Staff, on time no waiting great visit

only went to the location on Alvarado road because my now retired doctor went there after he sold his practice I would advise everyone to STEER CLEAR of this establishment The office staff need to invest in a Dictionary and look up the meaning oF the words "Compassion" and "Respect" Good Luck

Getting an appt was almost an hour long process with multiple call backs. Getting an appt eventually was an uncomfortable one, the staff is unbelievably rude, disorganized (giving my name and DOB multiple times). Prescription refill was completely ignored for a week (in fact was never responded to at all). I've read dozens of reviews (I've honestly never seen so many bad reviews on one office) out there and decided this isn't going to be a good experience since it hadn't been so far or for most of those reviewing and called to cancel...repeat long hold time, rude staff and then hung up on.

Previous Dr. retired and I got stuck with LAJVARDI. Not only did he misdiagnose me, he tried his best to talk me out of seeing the specialist that did correctly diagnose me. He's self centered, arrogant, and in practice just for the money as far as I am concerned.

I got to my appointment a few minutes early and had to wait to be taken to the exam room. After waiting over 40 minute I was told he was not in the office yet. I waited another 40 minutes before he came in. I do have issues with my ankles swelling and high blood pressure. He never once touched my body, other than to give me a fist bump. He immediately ordered a scan of my heart and a stress test. He never looked into my throat or listened to my heart or breathing. I felt like all he was interested in was getting money for my visit, he was not interested in me. Dr. Kater, our doctor had just retired and we were so accustomed to being treated like we mattered. I was kept waiting in his office for over 2 hours. My husband and I refuse to return to Dr. Lajvardi's office. Being there once was one time too many. We have now found other doctors that have a much better bedside manner. The bottom line is, Dr. Lajvardi is interested in only one thing, MONEY! He has NO bedside manner.

Dr. Lajvardi took over the practice of Dr. Kater, my former physician, after his retirement and I couldn't be more disappointed in the transition. I really wanted to like the doctor, but unfortunately he's been terrible from every angle. Care: I didn't get the impression that the doctor wanted to listen to me at all and he clearly made up his mind about my condition without wanting to hear what I had to say. He claimed he didn't understand the treatment plan I'd been under with my old doctor and tried to give me a new medication I'm extremely uncomfortable with and then tried to guilt me into taking it. Wait: Each of my two visits took approximately 2 hours and the doctor did not see me until over an hour after my appointment time. Insurance: They billed my insurance incorrectly for each visit and then sent me a bill for several hundred dollars. When I called about this they admitted that their billing department was doing the billing incorrectly, but will do nothing to fix… it and maintain that I need to work with their billing department and my insurance to ensure they bill correctly. In short, stay far away! I can't imagine a more frustrating and less helpful experience.

He is my dad's doctor and my dad adores him! His diagnosis regarding my dad's back pain was perfect and he doesn't suffer from the pain anymore.
