Dr. Robert Douglas Lamport, MD

Very inappropriate and unprofessional. Lamport has many bad reviews for a reason. Patients beware!

Ignored me and walked away while I was trying To explain something about my condition. He didn't seem to care and quickly dismissed me.

One of the best specialist in his field. He cares about his patients and is one of the best doctors I have gone to. He made a huge difference in my life and I’m very thankful for his services. I highly recommend him. His staff is fantastic too

I doctoredl with Dr Lamport for years. We liked him greatly but one of his nurses told me to do something I could not do about my medicine. I felt the buck stopped with him. So had to do something different. I hope that nurse is not still with him.

Run far away from this "Dr". I've had two experiences with this guy. The first, he ordered so many unnecessary tests, that my insurance flagged him to ensure it wasnt fraud. On top of that he missed the actual diagnosis, that was right in my bloodwork. If not for another DR who spotted it two months later, I'd would of died. Second time with this guy, LRMC assigned him to me through the ER... against my direction! Again, he failed to listen to exactly what brought me in and I almost bled to death. On top of that his refusal to complete the diagnostic test needed left me in excruciating pain for two more weeks, until my real DR had me admitted and a real Gastroenterologist performed the necessary test (I had a lower intestine cyst and he refused to do a colonoscopy, would only do an endoscopy, I had over 3 blood transfusions because of him)

procedure went smoothly and quickly staff was great everything was explained completely and left me with no questions.

Bad doctor ever. Misdiagnosed. No follow up after visit at all. Billing department really bad. They do not have a clue of billing. I have to see another doctor.

Arrogant Man

Dr. Lamport and surgical staff are the best. The staff is well trained and friendly. , Dr. Woody, the anesthesiologist, is wonderful. The most perfect "sleep" I have ever been given. Once the procedure is complete, Dr. Lamport meets with you and family to explain results. The colonoscopy procedure is a breeze and I have had three. I highly recommend Dr. Lamport and his surgical team.

I have had multiple GI problems in the past and visited many local Lakeland doctors. Finally I found one that takes the time and effort to make sure I get the best of care. I am doing much better now due to his care. Thank you Dr. Lamport!
