I am a nurse of 7 years. Have worked for Duke University, Prisma as a nurse manager, and higher education as a nurse. Dr. Lane is the epitome of what is broken in the US healthcare system. He is hateful, rude, and behavior completely appalling. My father is in the hospital and was told by Dr.Lane he was going to die and offered a medication to him by saying "most patients who take this die" but he won't offer any other medications. This is completely unacceptable behavior of communication with a patient. He yelled at me over the phone and refused to discuss care of my father. If you are assigned this doctor, I highly recommend getting him removed from the care team ASAP because he is simply a death wish for patients. He is not an advocate and supportive of pt care. As a nurse, I always insured that I provided the best possible care and left no stone unturned when providing support. That is our job as servants to the public. Dr.Lane doesn't seem to grasp that concept.
