Dr. Robert S Laurenzano

Dr. Robert Laurenzano, a native of Brooklyn, NY, established Advances in Dental Care in 2004 after more than thirty years of private practice and consulting activities. The practice provides comprehensive dental care for adults and children in an intimate, efficient and modern environment.
Dr. Laurenzano is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Southern Maryland Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Dental Consultants. He was awarded fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1983 and became a Certified Dental Consultant in 2001. In addition to his practice, Dr. Laurenzano is the immediate Past-President of the American Association of Dental Consultants and was employed as Dental Director for Aetna and United Healthcare/Optum Specialty Benefits.

He is as comfortable working with young children and teens as he is with adults. In fact, Dr. Laurenzano completed a Mini-Residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland in April 2008.
Dr. Laurenzano is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and completed a general practice residency at theCatholic Medical Center in NY. He has continued his education at various institutions such as Boston University Graduate School of Dentistry, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Pittsburgh, the University of Maryland, the Academy of General Dentistry and at various national dental meetings around the country. Dr. Laurenzano has also completed training in medical hypnosis.
Dr. Laurenzano holds licenses to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Missouri, North Dakota and Arizona. He has been quoted in several news articles related to dentistry and authored many articles in various state and national professional publications.
