This man saved my life by getting me off many debilitating drugs. Then he helped me finally sleep. I am a TBI survivor and I owe my life to this doctor. I love him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lawrence for years. One thing I learned quickly is that he doesn't listen to you if you disagree with him. He's very knowledgeable about medicine, but he doesn't care about the patient's opinion. For example, I was seeing him for depression. One time, he randomly decided to prescribe something to help with weight loss. I didn't want it or ask for it. The medicine didn't work, I kept saying I wanted off it because I hated the side effects. Instead, he just kept changing the dosage over and over again. Two months ago, he prescribed a new antidepressant for me. Yesterday, I called to say that I needed off the medicine because I felt it was making my depression worse and more suicidal. Today, he called me back, and told me he no longer wanted me as a patient. Why? Because I hadn't joined group therapy like he had suggested. I didn't join group therapy because I know myself and know I would struggle talking to a group of strangers about private stuff. My therapist… agreed with me. He told me I wasn't doing anything to get better, he was the only one doing any work. The important takeaway is that I told him medicine was making me more suicidal and his response was to end treatment because I didn't want to join a group therapy.

Dr. Lawrence is very knowledgeable in pharmaceutics. His specialty is biological psychiatry. I have been under his care for 28 years and have my anxiety problem well controled. Before seeing him I had seen many physicians and psychologists to no avail.

Everyone receives the same advice on medications and is put on the same thing. One medication plan fits all. Then when you need his help in the future.... he won't have anything to do with you.

Best psychiatrist I have seen to date! Too bad I had to move.

I will never see Dr. Lawrence again! He has no problem insulting his patients. He lacks compassion when it comes to personal problems. He repeats his counseling advice with the same words over and over again. It seems like his goal is to help you by throwing different drugs at you just to see what works. After awhile you begin to feel like just an experiment. His arrogance is always present.
