6 months ago, This guy did the interpretation of the x-rays on my neck saying I have, Anterior osteophytes with early posterior osteophytes and decrease in disc space at C5-C6. Decrease in disc space with small anterior osteophytes are seen at C6-C7. His impression was, MILD Degenerative Changes C5-C6 Greater than C6-C7. I finally was able to get into seen Orthopedic Doctor who then looked at and went over the x-rays with me. The orthopidic showed me that the disc space between C5-C6 is less than half of what it should be and the front half of C5 is sitting directly on top of C6, which is what is causing the osteophytes. I have also lost the curvature to my spine in my neck, it is straight, which is not good. The Orthopedic doc is thinking that I will need surgery he has ordered an MRI (which unfortunately will probably be read by the same person as the x-ray, thank god my current doc wont take his word on it) and when that comes back he will set me up with a surgeon. If the… changes in my neck where Truly Only Mild than my Doctor wouldn't be talking about surgery. I wouldn't trust Leckie to properly read an interpret a page from a Dr. Susse book
