Dr. Robert Howard Levine

Misdiagnosed my condition. Over prescribed medications so that I was in a stupor and did nothing about it when I told him of this problem. He prescribed one medication to which I had a toxic reaction, causing a manic state. He said that I could not have such a reaction to the medication. He insisted that lying was part of my personality. I went to another doctor who treated my condition properly. I would never recommend Levine to anyone since he doesn't listen to his patients. He thinks he knows everything. He is also too old and appeared not to remember what he had recommended at the previous sessions. Don't waste your money on him.

Wait times were onerous, sometimes over 3 hours. I went to another doctor who took me off the medication and started doing a lot better. Would not recommend Levine to anyone.

Excellent. The wait in the office has gotten a lot better. He's pretty much on time.

This guy was my clinical supervisor for a year in NYC in 2000. When it came time to obtain verification for my supervision hours in order to become licensed, he wouldn’t return phone calls or letters. There was no grounds for such a posture. Completely unprofessional. My name is Dr. Jeff Stein. I hope he remembers me.

Widely known as the best psychiatrist in NYC. And a wonderful person. Saved my life.

dr Levine helped me very much through a differcult time. I think he is very good at what he does. My only complaint is that when I told him I would like to stop taking the meds and try to use other means, he was very much against it. All drugs have side effects, but he doesn't seem to beleive that. I would highly recommend him.

He is getting up there in age and tends to forget his diagnoses and contradict himself each time you see him. Probably was a good doctor when he was younger but relies too much on his bad memory to be anything but harmful. Ended up in the hospital after he abruptly stopped two medications without tytrating. When told him I was having a reaction he said it was "impossible". Took no responsibility for his mistake.

Considerate and knowledgeable. He is emphatic that he does not do any psychotherapy,but deals with his patients with wisdom and insight,
