Dr. Lewis is an amazing surgeon. He listens so well and achieves a great result.

Dr. Lewis has performed several procedures for me. I started with him back in 2004. I have been pleased with every operation he has performed. He spent plenty of time with me discussing each procedure. He explained every aspect of the procedure and I felt comfortable with his bedside manner. Many of my friends have had surgery with him and all of them are happy. I have routinely referred friends and family - all of whom have been happy with his care and treatment. He has a great office staff that are always helpful and available. I have also had filler and botox treatments and had the same good experience with Dr. Lewis. I definitely disagree with the above review that had negative comments. It sounds like that person was talking about a different doctor Lewis. I would recommend him to anyone. He is kind, compassionate and very competent. He is the plastic surgeon that most doctors wives and nurses choose to have do their surgery.

A little edgy

I like Dr Lewis and his staff. He is very personal and professional. Having said that I was and am very disappointed in my results. I feel I was not overall informed correctly regarding my augmentation which resulted in 2 implant procedures and finally a removal of implants and lift which I would grade a C. I had a tummy tuck with 3 revisions over 2 years. I'm still not happy with the result a lot of very loose skin and very thick middle. I also had liposuction but you would never know it. I feel Dr Lewis was too conservative with my surgeries which were very costly. Not happy at all.

I had breast cancer which lead to a mastectomy. Dr.Lewis told me my options(that I could understand).and We decided on the flap surgery. He told me all the risks and I was fully aware of them.He is the most compassionate, caring,and understanding doctor I've ever been to.Any healing problems I've had is a result of my own care . My scars from Dr.Lewis are diminishing.Soon I'll be getting my implants. I'm VERY confident that I will be more then happy with the outcome. I could have not picked a better surgeon. I always look forward to my appointments.Thank you Dr.Lewis for being such a wonderful person in general. Made me feel better at my lowest. I'll write more after my implants. Dr.Lewis is the best in my book as far as thing are progressing through my reconstruction. I Thank God for helping me pick him.

I have to say, after reading the other patient's review, I was quite shocked. Not to downplay someone's individual reaction/allergies to a facial treatment, but I know Dr. Robert Lewis to be the most caring, meticulous, professional, and outstanding plastic surgeon. His artistry is amazing, both in the cosmetic and reconstructive fields. His results are unquestionably beautiful. I know this as a patient and also working with him for over 10 years. Personally, Dr. Lewis has performed my liposuction, Botox injections, and minor excisions. My scars have disappeared from every surgery. My liposuction was outstanding- he took the time to explain how it would shape and contiur my figure, and augment my work in the gym even further. He took the time to explain what to expect, healing times, and answered EVERY question I had. He did not rush me, he did not hurry through my exam, and he was very supportive and made me feel confident. The results from my lipo were A-mazing. I would do it… again, no doubt. When I needed to reach him with questions post-surgery, he called immediately back. As for my Botox, no complaints either- the areas on my forehead swelled for a few min, but he applied ice, and then it was gone. You couldnt notice anything, and my lines disappeared. He was gentle, took his time, and made me feel safe. On a working level, for more than 10 years I have watched Dr. Lewis work expertly in surgery. Again- meticulous, gentle, and always ALWAYS available for his patients. They love him- I see people come back over and over through the years for his services, and they are satisfied. Their lives are richer. They regain a sense of self and confidence- all from Dr. Lewis's surgical mastery and artistry. And, he has given back countless women (and men) their lives with reconstructive surgery. I have seen Dr. Lewis recreate a patient's breasts after mastectomy, or heal open wounds from burns or other injuries, and the patients are whole again and THAT- is a gift. Dr. Lewis cares whole-heartedly for EVERY patient he sees. I know his work to be whole, unmatched, and beautiful, and his integrity and credibility- unblemished.

I went to Dr Lewis for cosmetic fillers applied to improve my lip lines, my jowls, my eleven line and the lines above both eyes. He used two vials of juvaderm and one vial of botox. Immediately after he completed the injections, I looked like someone had punched me in the face. I was very swollen! His reply to that after he allowed to view myself in the mirror was that the swelling would go down in an hour. I took photos of my face for the next three days. He got progressively worse! I could not leave the house. I called his office to express my concerns and the receptionist told me to give it a few more days and take some ibuprophen. I had been applying ice 6 hrs a day since the day of the procedure. After another four days, I called the office again about ny concerns. Dr. Lewis called me back and told me that I must be one of the rare cases that have a bad reaction to cosmetic fillers. He called me in a prescription of steroids for 4 days. I took the steroids and continued to apply… ice. The steroids did absolutely nothing. I was disfigured and could not leave my home. If you call to schedule an appt with Dr Lewis, the receptionist will first tell you she needs to talk to the dr first and she'll call you back?! Never experienced that before! I faxed an eight page letter to Dr Lewis and his receptionist called me the next day to schedule an appt. I was scheduled to go in 3 days later. When I went in for the visit, it was extremely obvious that my face had massive swelling. But even through the swelling, it was obvious that the right side of my lip was much larger than the left side. My upper lip looked too big for my lower lip. Dr. Lewis had injected the top lip with juvederm to erase my lip lines. But he never injected my lower lip to even out the volume. It looked hideous. The left side of my mouth had more volume than the right side. Mind you, he had injected two whole vials of juvederm into this area. Dr Lewis validated all of my concerns but attributed it all to massive and very unusual swelling. I rolled ,my eyes several times out of frustration. I didn't believe that when the swelling did subside, my face would be uniform. He told me that only "time" could correct the appearance of my face. I could not believe that he expected me to walk around with my face in its present condition. When I asked him why he hadn't warned me that my outcome might be a possibility...even as slight as it was. He totally avoided giving me an answer and instead told me what a huge courtesy he had given me by performing the procedure in the first place. He told me he only charged me for the 2 vials of juvaderm and one vial of botox. He never charged me for his time! I guess I was suppose to be appreciative that he didn't charge me for his time even though the procedure disfigured my face. He advised me to follow up with another appt within 6-8 weeks and he would project a plan to correct the irregularities AS A COURTESY. I declined.Di it to me once...shame on you. Do it to me twice...shame on me. I told Dr Lewis I had an appt with another plastic surgeon the following day. He told me not to allow the new dr to inject me or I would have some very serious consequences. Because of the deformities that were a direct result of Dr Lewis' injections, I asked that he creditmy bank card for the $1200 that was the charge for the procedure. He flat out told me no. His exact words were, "There are no refunds. That isn't the way the medical profession works." He then proceeded to tell me the prediction of the outcome of the dispute with the credit card company. He told me that they would ask for documentation which he would be able to provide to confirm that the procedure had been done. So, the credit card company would deny my dispute. He then proceeded to tell me that if I were to win the dispute, he's assuming I wouldn't pay the bill or I wouldn't be disputing the charge to begin with. In that event, he would turn my account over to a collection agency which would ultimately ruin my credit! Talk about a dr solely in it for the big bucks!I kept my appt with the second plastic surgeon the following day. He was rather alarmed at the appearance of my face. He advised me to go home, keep ice packs on the swelling for 6 hrs per day and stay out of the sun. He did validate all of my concerns even through all the swelling. He scheduled a follow up visit the following friday to check my progress on swelling. I applied ice to my face 8 hrs per day. I didn't leave the house! I was never outside to avoid the sun. The swelling slowly subsided and by the following Friday all the swelling was gone. I went to the new plastic surgeon and after a 25 minute consultation, he led me into a room to take close up "before" photos. They clearly showed that the right side of my upper lip was larger than the left side. It clearly showed that my upper lip appeared entirely too large for my lower lip. Dr Lewis injected the top lip but never injected my bottom lip?! It clearly showed the left side of my cheeck had less volume than the right side. These were all a direct result of Dr Lewis' injections! I was then led into the procedure room. A dental block was applied and then the dr started the injections. He injected a small amount into the left side of my upper lip to balance out my upper lip. He applied a small amount of juvaderm to my lower lip to balance out the volume of both lips. He applied a small amount of juvaderm into my left cheek to balace out the volume of both cheeks. He applied a small amount of juvaderm to my "eleven" line to eliminate it. Dr Lewis had injected botox into this area but it had absolutely no effect. He njected botox above both eyes to eliminate or diminish the lines above my eyes.
