Dr. Robert Lindsey was born in Memphis, Texas and grew up in Dimmitt, Texas. After graduating from high school, Dr. Lindsey attended East Texas State University for pre-dental education before attending the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. There, he received his D.D.S. degree in 1972, followed by a two-year residency in orthodontics, which he completed in 1974, with a Master of Science degree. Dr. Lindsey served as an orthodontist for two years in the United States Army Dental Corps at Ft. Polk, Louisiana, from 1974-1976. In May 1976, he and his wife Evelyn moved to Plainview and opened his private practice of orthodontics.
Dr. Lindsey is board certified and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Texas Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the South Plains District Dental Society, and the University of Texas Orthodontic …Alumni Association. He attends several continuing education courses in orthodontics each year.
Dr. Lindsey has served in numerous community and service organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, American Cancer Society, Plainview I.S.D. School Board, Hale County Appraisal District Board, and currently serves as an elder at Garland Street Church of Christ.
