Dr. Robert James Lockwood, MD

Dr Lochwood is the kind of doctor we need more of. He has amazing knowledge of medicine and is able to prescribe the right thing to get you well. He is not like other doctors these days where they just do not have knowldege of the problem so send out for test after test and comes back to the doctor should have been able to prescirbe the right medicine. The best doctor I have ever had

I have used Dr. Lockwood for many years. My daughter also uses him for herself and her family. In reading some of the reviews, it sounds like they are talking about a person I have never met. NEVER have I left his office without feeling like I am his only patient. He and his staff have always been very polite and helpful. I have recommended many people to him over the years and one of the things I always tell them is he is the only Dr. I have ever gone to that makes me feel like I am not a number, he truly cares about his patients. In all the people that have gone to him via my recommendation, not one person disagrees with me, they all love him. thank you Dr. Lockwood and staff for many years of professional care!!

I have never been happier with a doctor. He is knowledgeable and answers every question I have. I never feel rushed and is fast to get in. I would recommend him to anyone needing a good physician.

Dr.Lockwood has a no nonsense attitude. He gets you in...listens to your ailment...then proceeds on a course to make you better. He is not a doctor to throw drugs at you. He tries to find a permanent solution to your problem, not a temporary "fix" with drugs. He follows up with you after lab tests and he makes sure you follow up with an appointment if you happen to have to have a medication instead of tossing you out to the wolves to deal with it on your own. I will recommend him to everyone I know and he will be not only my doctor but Im transferring my wife and kids to him as well.

I have used Dr. Lockwood for 5-6 years now and I think his behavior has gotten progressively worse with each visit. I used to think that he just didn't care for me, but I made a point with on my last visit to try to listen to his visits with other patients while I waited in my room. He was in and out with two patients before me in under 5 minutes each. It has been my personal experience that he rarely makes eye contact and is very condescending in his tone. During my last visit as he was leaving the room he said, "head to the lab I'll call you tomorrow". No, "goodbye or I hope you get to feeling better". I almost feel there should be an audible "cha-ching" as I leave the room, as I feel like a I'm nothing more than a number. I can say that ONE time I did leave his office feeling like he cared, but then I remember how long I have been seeing him. When I call in with a question or to make an appointment I feel like I am hassling or inconveniencing the lady that answers the call. I will… not mention names but there is primarily one lady that answers the calls for Dr. Lockwood. Bottom line is no one should have to put up with this type of behavior from a "professional" that is supposed to be there to help. He SHOULD feel inclined to put me at ease and explain things. NOT run in and out and leave you feeling like they should just go ahead and purchase a cattle prod and be done with it.

Dr. Lockwood is always very thorough and I feel like nothing ever gets overlooked. It's not his fault if his staff is not the best.

I have seen Dr Lockwood for over 5 years. I do not see a doctor very often only when it is serious. Dr Lockwood's treatment is worse each time I go in there. I treats me like cattle, line them up and move them out. He does not listen, he talks over you. I called the clinic in a effort to switch doctors I was told NO!! They do not want to hurt the doctors feelings. What about my feelings? Anyway's found a new doctor and his ratings are a 4 star.

I can only tell you that this doctor's office staff was so rude when I tried to make an appointment that I said never mind and am now changing my provider through my insurance company. This would have been for a check-up, I can't imagine dealing with that office if I had atually been sick.
