Dr. Robert Joseph Maurer JR., MD

In 2009 I went to him on the recommendation for Dr Steven Powers (a well respected Nurosurgeon) Dr Powers hand sent his son to Dr Maurer. I had extreme pain in my left wrist. Another Dr wanted to do a total fusion. A total loss of motion. Bob Maurer did a procedure that saved 60 percent of my wrist motion. Thanks Bob.

Hadn’t looked at my medication list, that had interactions for medications with steroids and my other medications. He has given me TWO allergic reactions AND my second allergic reaction was HALLUCINATIONS!!! All because he couldn’t take 5 minutes for one of his assistants or himself to look at my medication list. Had one carpal tunnel release done by him. He offered to perform my other carpal tunnel surgery on the other arm. I will absolutely NEVER go back or recommend this place or ANY of their doctors!!! He’s been late by an hour for appointments, and stayed in the room for maybe less than 5 minutes, with NO bedside manner. No answering questions, no solutions to issues, nothing.

Dr Mauer is very knowledgable in orthopedics. He is very thorough with everything he does. People asked me "why did you see him to do your shoulder surgery?" (He specializes in hands.) My reply spoke of how wonderful, caring and compassionate Dr. Mauer is. Patients often complain about having to wait for their appointment, an hour after their scheduled time. As frustrating as it may be, there is good reasoning behind those sometimes lengthy wait times. Dr. Mauer attends to each one of his patients with compassion and concern. He is very thorough in explaining your injury as well as discussing all treatment options available to you. With each patient he takes his time making sure to address any questions or concerns they may have. So what if your waiting an extra 30 or 40 minutes!?!?! Bring a book, play a game while your waiting. I promise Dr. Mauer will not fall short of anything more than exceptional! He is definitely worth the wait!

I suffer extensive injury at work to my wrist, Dr. help me to gain some movement in my wrist , when no one could help. In my personal opinion he the best doctor so far if comes to wrist injuries. Many years experience and very professional treatment of his patients.Great friendly doctor with many years of expertise in his medical practice

I want to commend Dr Maurer for his wonder care for myself and my mother in law. Dr Maurer saved my mother in law’s hand from amputation after a very bad injury she received. His expertise and excellent surgical abilities are to be commended. He also operated on me several times for different issues. He is amazing! His bedside manner and empathy was outstanding as well as his surgical abilities! We are blessed to have such an experienced and talented Dr if his caliber in our area.

My experience is identical almost verbatim to the other multiple surgeries review.

after multiple procedures each one became more extensive as treatment failed to correct problem which ultimately lead to severe pain and eventually deemed disabled. diagnosis was correct but failed abilities to perform procedure. was very friendly with workers compensation nurse manager.
