I previously have one star. After talking to a supervisor and voicing my complaints I was rescheduled to my original date I found Dr Mayer to be very knowledgeable and kind. I'l return to him in future

This doctor doesn't listen he's very rude! Put in my charts that I basically was a drug addict even tho I have to have my ureter reconstructed and and tube in my back. He also flagged my charts for any doctor to not prescribe any medication even for surgeries! He said Tylenol was enough! I will never go to this doctor ever again and I'm filing a lawsuit!! I highly do not recommend this doctor

Saw him in the hospital on emergency care traveling through Oregon on the way hone the CA. Emergency surgery and the xcellent care.

I was with Dr. Mayer for 8 years and he is the most amazing Dr I have ever had! When he left to go to Oregon I was very upset. He is caring, supportive, and will spend as much time with you as you need. He is very patient oriented and doesn't care if its 15-to an hour but will spend the time with you to make sure all your questions are answered, that you are comfortable, and you leave there feeling so much better then when you walked in. There's not enough good I can say about him!

Our community is extremely blessed to have such an outstanding and personable Urologist finally. I have seen him twice now and he has a very gentle demeanor and filled with knowledge and experience. I am very confident being under his care.

Dr. Mayer is WONDERFUL. He treated my husband, a spinal cord injury patient, who suffers both incontinence and retention. Dr. Mayer changed our lives by offering an alternative to an in-dwelling catheter. Unfortunately a procedure needs to be performed every 9-12 months. Dr. Mayer has moved to Oregon and University of Rochester/Strong has no one who can perform this procedure and they will not recommend a doctor outside of their system. We are scrambling to find a competent physician who is experienced with this procedure and have had no luck. We would consider going to Oregon to see Dr. Mayer (yes, all the way from NY), but we have not been able to locate him. 4 Stars for Doctor Mayer, negative 10 stars for University of Rochester.

Dr. Mayer is spot on with his diagnosis and takes time with each patient. He often runs late because of this but it is totally worth the extra time to know you are getting his all. Would recommend him to anyone.

I've been a patient of Dr. Mayer for 7 yrs. He is very kind, caring & sensitive to my needs & has been a source of comfort to me. He is very easy to talk to & throughly explains his diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Mayer to anyone, male or female, who needs the help of a top notch urologist.
