Dr. Robert Mitchell Maywood, MD

I totally appreciate having a doctor that is willing to listen to what I have to say and Dr Maywood is so easy going, its a pleasure to "have to go to the doctor" and visit. Thank you Dr Maywood!

I went in to visit Dr. Robert Maywood today. I had an MRI done on my chest so that he could review it then go over it with me. He came into the room and told me that my MRI showed that I had a partial tear in my chest. I already knew this because I had heard it rip from working out chest. I was there for him to go over the MRI results so I can figure out exactly were the tear was. When I asked if he could go over it he said you couldn't see much on the MRI. This was completely false. You could see I had a strain in the chest based on the conclusion from the report yet Dr. Maywood refused to show me. He left the room for a few minutes and I could hear him making a scene in the office saying that this guy wants me to show him were his tear is. HELLO that's what you get paid for you idiot!! I finally left the room and heard him complaining that I wanted for him to show me the results. Finally he agreed to go over the MRI. He explained that there was a small tear in your chest. I asked him… were it was and he pointed to my freaking shoulder. Are you kidding me. He had no clue!! I then asked him what this white line mark was on the MRI. He immediately said this session is over please leave!! Are you kidding me?? He not only had no clue about my injury he rudely kicked me out of his office because he didn't know anything about my injury!! Steer clear of this incompetent doctor!!!!

Unfortunately I've had to have surgery on both knees, and he performed my first surgery, and with wonderful and longlasting results...and he has stood with me all the way to my most recent.I can say with experience and confidence that Dr. Maywood has a professional background in sport's injuries second to none...professional sport's teams, world class athletes, and a sport's medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical school. Yet, he's there for the every day needs. He's competent, caring, and compassionate, and he and his staff deliver!
