** DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD HAVE A LOW PAIN TOLERANCE AS THEY REFUSE TO PRESCRIBE ANYTHING OTHER THAN IBUPROFEN** My daughter had to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed. It was a complete debacle. We had our incredibly brief consultation with the surgeon, Dr Ganter (This is Dr McNeill's assisting surgeon) Most information was given to us by an aide, Lindsay, who was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the first problem started at the end of this appointment when I asked Lindsay about the prescriptions she had given us in the information package. I asked when I needed to fill them and she said "We'll call them in for you." That never happened, so come day of surgery we didn't even have antibiotic that she was supposed to take BEFORE the procedure. Fast forward to the day of surgery. Today, a FRIDAY. I expressed to the aide, Heather, who met with us before the surgery about pain medication. My daughter has a very low pain tolerance. She said to take the ibuprofen that… was prescribed. I told her that she has a low pain tolerance and being her mother, I know this for a fact. It's a Friday. I can't call anyone over the weekend to get anything prescribed. She said we don't give hydrocodone out because people become addicted. OMFG!!! sure, some people DO abuse drugs, but this isn't the case for that. My daughter has a legitimate pain concern. She also told my daughter she would fell numb for the entire day. Which was not the case. After they took my daughter back for surgery, I decided I wasn't going to leave without a pain prescription so the receptionist had the doctor come talk to me. She absolutely REFUSED to give her hydrocodone (the most commonly prescribed drug for wisdom teeth removed for decades). Instead she wrote a RX for Tylenol with codeine ??fine. I took the RX, dropped my still incoherent daughter at home and went to fill this Tylenol3. Once I got home, my daughter had woken up in EXCRUCIATING pain. The numbness we were told would last all day had worn off in TWO HOURS. I called back up to Ganters office in hopes of her seeing the logic in actually prescribing a pain medicine but guess what? Yep, she had already gone for the day. Through her receptionist she tells me ,"Hey, I get it. She's in pain. She can take 600mg of Ibuprofen and then 500mg of Tylenol every 2 hours" my reply to that: you want me to give my daughter upwards of 24 pills that are all TERRIBLE for your liver because you WON'T write a hydrocodone prescription?!? At this point, I'm just about ready to lose my cool but I know the receptionist has nothing to do with this. I don't write a lot of reviews and when I do, I try to write positive reviews. For this, though, I can't. I want EVERYONE to know that they will not listen to your pain level and treat accordingly. My daughter was an 8 of 10 on the pain chart and she was told to take a freaking ADVIL. She didn't have cramps!! She had four large wisdom teeth removed from the back of her mouth, one dangerously close to the nasal cavity so that it incurred EXTRA pain. But nope. I'm infuriated. I will never step foot in this clinic and unless you're the man of steel and can feel no pain, I highly recommend you stay away from these weirdos. Thanks for reading, I hope it helps some of you.
