Horrible Experience — Disrespectful Staff and Extremely Poor Front Desk Management I had a very upsetting experience at this clinic today. As a patient seeking medical care, I expected basic professionalism, accurate communication, and respectful treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Here is exactly what happened: My appointment was scheduled for 10:10 AM. I arrived early at approximately 9:50 AM and completed the check-in process at the front desk. From approximately 9:50 AM to 10:30 AM, I remained quietly in the waiting room. No staff member approached me or informed me of any issue with my appointment or check-in. At approximately 10:30 AM, a female front desk staff member finally called my name. Instead of explaining the delay or apologizing for the wait, she told me, in a blaming manner, that my appointment had already passed and that I was “over an hour late.” I was extremely confused and upset because this statement did not match the actual timeline. I had… checked in at approximately 9:50 AM for a 10:10 AM appointment. At 10:30 AM, only 40 minutes had passed since I arrived, and only 20 minutes had passed since my scheduled appointment time. I immediately questioned the staff member and explained that my check-in record should show that I arrived at 9:50 AM. I was particularly concerned that the clinic appeared to be attributing the delay to me rather than accurately reviewing its own check-in records. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with my appointment. When communication at the front desk is inaccurate and patients are treated in a disrespectful and accusatory manner, it becomes very difficult to have confidence in the overall professionalism of the facility. I left the clinic because I did not feel comfortable entrusting my healthcare to a facility where I felt I was being treated this way. I strongly encourage management to review the check-in records and, if available, security footage from approximately 9:50 AM onward to establish exactly what happened. I believe patients deserve accurate communication, accountability, and basic respect. Based on my experience today, I would not recommend this clinic.

My experience with Dr Mecum was pleasant and professional. Totally different story with his office personnel. I don't understand why after so many negative reviews nothing changes. I guess, as long they get their money from the insurance companies, customer service is not important to Dr. Mecum.

I'm sorry I'm sure the doctor is great but i till never know. 0 stars if i could omg wow after having a bad experience just now and reading others reviews they are all correct. The asian lady as they call her hung up me me multiple times and refused to help me or transfer me to someone else. She was very rude and said i was rude which i didnt get rude until after she hung up on me the first time. she was irritated becuase i didnt know my insurance plan. I wonder how she still has a job there, she is not professional or caring. I will be filing a complaint and speaking to a lawyer. They should reconsider the staff in this office.

Dr. Mecum is one of the most caring, conscientious, and knowledgeable physicians I have ever seen. He cares about his patients and has the best sense of humor! He made me laugh when I wanted to cry! I would recommend him to all!

My dad went to see him for a consult, i dont know where these people are from that believe he is the best. He does not have ANY bedside manner, his office staff couldnt fill out referral requests properly, delay, delay, delay. Ive been informed his wife is the office manger and they have a reputation for being a horrible office to deal with from a hospital's point of view

Insisted my grandma improve her diet to resolve a pain in her stomach in which I pleaded for a cat-scan. He scoffed and wouldn't even look at me the rest of her appointment. Final diagnosis after cat-scan was pancreas cancer.

The staff is very friendly. But their is one person i believe she is the office manager who is very very rude! Myself and other patients have heard her talk down on her employees which is very sad and unprofessional. She interrupts patient/employee discussions. I just dont like it. The atmosphere is very stiff and negative. The doctor is good. I think the manager name is Jessica.

Dr. Mecum is one of the best doctor I have ever visited. He is approachable, patient and knowledgeable. My heartburn issue was resolved after just a couple visits. Besides the visit, I also gained additional knowledge on how to prevent similar problems to re-occur in the future. Thanks to Dr. Mecum. Everything about my visit was great.

I have been seeing Dr. Mecum for the past 10+ years because of my family's colon cancer history. His knowledge, professionalism and caring for his patient make him one of the best doctor I have ever visited.

My wife and I both had colonoscopies done by Dr. Mecum to check for colon cancer. Everything went very smoothly and painlessly. Dr. Mecum explained the procedure clearly, performed the colonoscopies without any problem, and took time to review and explain the results to us. We also liked his friendly, low-key manner. I would definitely recommend this doctor. I was surprised to read some of the negative comments about his office staff. They were certainly courteous and responsive to us.
