Moved to Charlottesville when I was a kid and he was my doctor for 10+ years… best doctor in the world!!!!

He is too overworked and the office has too many children to care for each one of them on a personal level.Also it was my experience that medicaid children are treated different than children with insurance.

Dr. Michel was my children's pediatrician for the whole time we were in C'ville, from birth to age 7 when we moved. I have been measuring EVERY pediatrician I have had since to him and not favorably. He set the bar very high. He is calm, patient, excellent with children, and always did a superb job in diagnosis and care. I think about him every time I have to take my kids in. I fear we may never have such a wonderful doctor again.

I first thought Dr. Michel was great with my child. However it seemed that the practice grew and Dr. Michel was easily stressed and hard to get a hold of unless an appointment was made.Other doctors at the practice do not seem to be efficient in diagnosing and would have a hard time distinguishing whether my child would have a virus or bacterial infection. This was challenging and made us have to attend until a proper doagnosis and treatment was given.
