Dr. Robert Joseph Mongue, MD

My husband took suddenly ill one evening, with a fever spiking to 104 degrees! We had no idea what was going on, so I made him go to the ER. Dr. Mongue came to see him and quickly started ordering labs, asking questions and assessing the situation with my husband. He gave him outstanding care, and is someone I would trust with my own emergency health concern. My husband is improving quickly, all because of Dr. Mongue.

I was admitted after a suicide attempt, so I was at my lowest of years of clinically depressed lows. Years later I would find out that it was caused by four large lesions in my brain caused by M.S. When I told Dr. Mongue why I was there, he told me what a stupid thing it was that I had tried to do, and wouldn`t stop until I agreed with him. He was later delighted to inform me that I was now going to jail, because it was illegal to do what I had tried to do. He was so mean about it that I left the Hospital and had to be tracked down and escorted back. I was taken to the jail, but just long enough for a bed to open up in the Psych ward, were they treated me with the understanding and compassion that Dr. Mongue should have shown but not. Fifteen years later, when I became deathly I'll, I was too afraid to call for an ambulance because of my experience with Dr.Mongue. First, do no harm? I think not!
