Dr. Robert Ward Murphy, MD

I had a hip revision done by Murphy in 2004, my leg ended up 2 inches too long. The fact I had a Leg length discrepancy {LLD} did not bother me at first because I was out of pain, even though I had to have a 2inch lift put on all my shoes. I had no idea what is was in for with my back. With in 6 months of the surgery I developed low back pain,{ That led to} severe muscle tightness, pulling then the pain went between my shoulder blades, up my mid back and up to my neck. I had to have 2 spinal fusions with no relief. This Hip surgery made my whole spine so crooked, one shoulder was way higher than the other and at my waist one side is so high. When I asked Murphy why the leg was so long and why the implant was so high in my pelvis he tried to tell me I was Had a LLD prior to the surgery and I have the report from my first office visit with him and in his own writing he states equal leg length. I have spent the last 3 years in bed. I have gone to tons of physical therapy,… chiropractor,20 epidurals, rolfing, different size shoe lifts, and of coarse pain management just trying to get relief. I must also mention that when I left the hospital after my surgery I stayed at DR Murphy's PT rehab called manor care and the first day I got there and saw a PT, she told me OMG I could lose my job for telling you this but you need to make him take this out a redo your hip. I wish I would of listened to her. Good Luck getting another Dr to look at you if he screws you up. Especially local Doctors like Dr. Sinha.This has hurt my back so bad that I am stuck in bed 5 days out of the week. I am desperately looking for another Hip DR. SO far I can not find anyone who wants to touch this hip, it is a mess. I would not take my dog to this man. I wish there was a way to exhibit my x ray so you all could see what he did to me. It is a shame. I NEVER had any back problems until this surgery.
