Dr. Robert Lloyd Myers, MD

Our 16 old daughter had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed 2 days ago. At the consultation, last month, we met Dr. Meyers and were so impressed by his compassion towards our daughter's severe anxiety and that he was so reassuring and comforting. Since I had never had my wisdom teeth out, we had no idea of what to expect and he put us at ease. The procedure went off without a hitch and we were sent home with pain pills and instructions. Our daughter spent the next two days and nights in severe pain. She was throwing up the antibiotics and couldn't eat. I have never seen a face so swollen. She could barely speak. This morning I called and finally made an appointment. When Dr. Meyers walked into the room he asked when she had the teeth removed. Seriously?? He was standing there, looking at her records, and he himself performed the surgery just 2 days ago. For the next 10 minutes he berated my daughter for "not doing what she was told to do" and that she NEEDED to be brushing the bloody,… painful sockets. When she explained she had been trying but she was having a hard time opening her mouth wide enough he said "the toothbrush isn't that big". I asked him if someone there could possibly help her and he sarcastically answered me saying "It's just tooth brushing, Mom". I was stunned that this was the same man we saw weeks earlier for our consult. The arrogance and sarcasm was disgusting. When he left the room, my daughter burst into tears. He acted like we were wasting his time. I couldn't help but feel that since he had our money, he didn't have to put on an act anymore. In addition, he advised us to take the new pain med. as soon as we got home, but the pharmacist said we needed to wait until the other one was out of her system first. I called the office for clarification and the nurse agreed with the pharmacist. Dr Meyers also said to continue ice for the rest of the day and his nurse said not to, but instead use warm compresses. This is ridiculous. I would NEVER recommend this office.

I found Dr. Myers to be very arrogant and dismissive. He misdiagnosed the issue I was having, which delayed the treatment I needed by months. I will never go to him again.

I went in for an extraction and membrane insertion in prep for a post. No post operative pain. Everything went very well. Dr. Myers diagnosed an abscess that that 3 other practitioners had missed, affecting a salivary gland that would swell up to the size of a lemon - he is a godsend.

Great surgeon, very kind and excellent doctor. His entire staff are very caring
