Dr. Robert Edmond Neger, MD

I took my son to get checked with Dr. Neger. Dr. Neger was very nice explaining to me and my son the condition of his vision. He explained it professionally and clear that it was easy to understand. His staff is very friendlyand helpful every time I call. When we went we waited less than 10 min before to be seen. Dr. Neger has been in practice for morw than 40 years, which makes him a trustworthy ophthalmologist!

I had a work related injury and Dr. Neger is very versed in WC claims. He is knowledgeable and courtesy. His staff Mako & Marjoum are very caring and efficient.

My wife and I moved to Santa Cruz from Chicago about five years ago. Our Chicago experience was with a couple of fairly large eye practices, and we were never very happy. Dr. Neger was like a breath of fresh air -- very thorough, attentive, took enough time to find issues (in my case, early stage glaucoma and cataracts). His treatment recommendations have been conservative, he does enough testing to get a good diagnosis and keep track of any degenerative progress, and he hasn't pushed surgeries. We both feel that we're getting great advice.

I took my 3-yr old son who had chronic eye infections. After 2 years of misdiagnosis by the former pediatrician and needless antibiotics, Dr Neger quickly identified it as eyelid infection (blepharitis as opposed to pink eye) and described how we needed to care for this. He was great with my son and me, there were toys in the exam room while Dr was talking to parent, very friendly, concerned doctor. We did have a bit of a wait for our appt but I guess that's because he spends time with patients as needed. Overall very happy with the experience.

My examination with Dr. Neger was prompt,the office excellent, he spent time with me- no technician doing the examination. The examination revealed that needed reading glasses that I purchased at the office. The optician really knew her stuff.I enjoyed my visit and am sending my friends

Overall I was not happy with the diagnosis. The place was not equiped to handle small children even though they advertise so.Something that I can clearly see a problem in my daughter's eye, he couldn't found.I went there after looking at experience, but I was disappointed.The staff, overcharged me 'by mistake' for co-pay, than when I pointed out, they reversed and corrected that.I will not recommend him to any one.
