The committees, boards, research teams, and organizations I have worked with have focused my attention on the critical goal of helping medical providers improve the lives and health of children with hearing loss and other chronic health conditions. The General Academic Pediatrics Fellowship curriculum provides training in research and professional mentoring to foster expertise in cultural, societal, community, and system factors affecting the quality of care and health outcomes of vulnerable populations. Rochester's large Deaf community provides an excellent local population to engage in clinical research, and I have found opportunities for collaboration with centers at URMC such as the National Center for Deaf Health Research in the Department of Preventive Medicine and the Deaf Wellness Center, as well as the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Each of these institutions provides opportunities for broader implementation of my research …on vulnerable children with hearing loss through collaboration on research projects and program development. I am honing my research skills and positioning myself to become a national leader in caring for the health of children with hearing loss and other chronic medical conditions.

As a practicing physician and mother to two of his pediatric patients, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Nutt to any parent seeking an exceptional pediatrician. I say this with the utmost sincerity: Dr. Nutt is the most well-rounded physician I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I have never met a medical practitioner with better bedside manner. Every visit, Dr. Nutt gladly spends plenty time acquiring a complete history, performing a thorough physical exam, and going over any questions and concerns in great detail. Lastly, on a personal note, he also happens to be a nationwide expert on hearing loss, which was particularly helpful when my newborn was diagnosed with it. The connection he displayed with my child brought tears to my eyes.

I love and trust Dr. Nutt! He is a very precise doctor. If he thinks he got a diagnosis wrong he's not afraid to say so (not many doctors will do that) He likes to make sure everything is right and best for your child and your child's treatment! I would recommend him to anyone that is needing to see a Pediatric Specialist! I'm so happy that I chose him for my sons doctor even though I have to drive an hour and half to see him, it's worth it to get a good doctor for your child.

Everything was proceeding well with care for our son until we disagreed with treatment and some parts of diagnosis. Dr Nutts attitude then changed and became condescending. Won’t be returning

I was very impressed with the amount of time Dr. Nutt spent with our son. He was very thorough and caring. I would highly recommend him, and are so thankful to have him working with our son.

We saw Dr. Nutt for the first time today. He was thorough, caring, and interacted so well with my 5 year old. He also explained everything with time and compassion. This kind of physician is so hard to find. So glad to have found him!
