Dr. Robert Christopher Pestano Ote, MD

Dr. Ote has been my PCP for 12 years, since he started with Kaiser. He is an incredible diagnostician, and is highly skilled at listening to what might appear to be a mismatch of symptoms, then getting to the root of the problem. I'm a Type ONE Diabetic with an annoying array of complex medical issues. Dr. Ote has been incredible and invaluable about listening to me, and finding the issue, to mitigate developing problems. After so many years of working with me, I value, so much, the number of times I've walked into his office, or have a phone appointment, and how he's able to differentiate between something that needs further exploration or tests, vs. something where he's not concerned. HIS INSTINCTS ARE INCREDIBLE! I also LOVE that he is willing to engage me in discussions about my health, about my care, and takes the time to get my buy-in, or gives me the time to do my research, about what he believes is the most appropriate course of action. Dr. Ote is also my husband's… doctor. My husband's health and mine are polar opposites, and Russ might not need to see Dr. Ote except once every 2 - 3 years, but when we walk in, my husband has Dr. Ote's FULL attention, as well. I've lived all over the world and have had MANY doctors; Dr. Ote is exceptional, incredible, and extremely talented and skilled at figuring out what's going on. The man reads medical journals as a hobby! And? He's willing to learn or listen from ANY source! I shared that a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist advised me to start using coconut oil, topically, to help mitigate frequent UTIs (and the cure worked)! When I shared this with Dr. Ote, he looked it up, ON THE SPOT, and was appreciative to add another tool to his bag of solutions to patients' problems. Dr. Ote is an incredible physician and I'm beyond blessed that he's my PCP.

this doctor will deny services so he can get a bigger bonus from his Kaiser bosses. he refused my son tests when he fell and we later found out he has a seizure disorder. All Kaiser doctors are encouraged to deny services. Doctors who do try to help patients are punished. BEWARE!!!!
