Dr. Robert D Pfeffer, MD

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done under the guidance of Dr. Pfeffer. After the procedures I did not receive any follow-up call from Dr. Pfeffer. 2 weeks after the procedures I contacted his office and they told me I should have received a follow up call already. They said they would leave a message for Dr Pfeffer to contact me. He has never contacted me. It's been over 1 month since my procedures. I think it is incomprehensible and ethically wrong for a doctor to treat his patients in this way. I had some questions and concerns about my procedures, but this doctor did not make himself available for any kind of follow up to address my concerns. It's been over a month since my procedures and I still don't know how they went or what they found. I would advise anyone who needs these procedures done to steer clear from Dr Pfeffer, unless you want to be left in the dark without any follow up call or knowing anything about your health.

Dr. Pfeffer and his staff provided outstanding care for me during my IBS testing and diagnosis. He took special care to explain the science and answer all my questions. I can't recommend him more highly.

I've scheduled colonoscopies using Dr. Pfeffer twice in the past three years and, on both occasions, I was required to first see a nurse practitioner ahead of the procedure. On both occasions, the nurse practitioner was a complete no show. Worse ye, the receptionists simply took my name until I waited long enough to ask what was going on, only to be told that the nurse simply wasn't there. I went back the first time but not this year. Oh ... and when I called to get my medical records, I got voicemail when I called and, of course, no call back. Hence, I needed to call the MHMG (central) office to make things happen. There are other doctors.

Dr. Pfeffer is not only an excellent gastroenterologist but is very thorough.

It was impossible to get Dr. Pfeffer's rude staff to even take my appt. My primary physician referred me to Dr. Pfeffer, for three days straight I tried calling to make an appt. His staff either disconnected me or put me on hold forever,,,when I finally got her after three days she was rude and nasty. I wonder if Dr. Pfeffer even is aware of this...but I could not make an appt and went somewhere where I was welcome.

Dr. Pfeffer is cordial and friendly, helpful, attentive - wholeheartedly recommended.
