Robert L. Recker, M.D., received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1993. He completed his residency in internal medicine in 1997 and has been practicing primary care internal medicine at Physicians of Internal Medicine since 1998. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Recker is an active member of Alegent Creighton Bergan Mercy Medical Center staff and has an interest in quality improvement.

I contacted Dr. via e-mail regarding concerns about my visit. He responded with a call and left a voice mail. He said he would call back the next business day. I stayed home that whole day so as not to miss his call. It has been 2 weeks and he apparently has long forgotten to keep his word. At our visit he was rushed and stressed and left at least 80% of the questioning and exam and treatment for his LPN to do. Think Whole Health Care is about money and numbers and not about people. I did not think Dr. Recker would become "one of them" and it has taken a while but he has definitelly lost his caring for the individual and it's all about #'s and the EMR and probably the year end bonus. As a patient I do not come for the beautiful building or the nice attendants. I come because I have always respected Dr Recker as genuine, caring, and knowledgeable. I am disappointed.

I've been going to Dr. Recker for at least 14 years and have been very pleased with him. He is professional, caring, patient, thorough, and has a good sense of humor. My husband goes to Dr. Recker also and likes him very much.

I have never been told not to.come back. It is scary to wonder what the years ahead will be when your personal physian says this. I can understand not wanting to make charges for insurance and concentrating on preventative care. But I feel like I was singled out since everyone else says their visits are so caring and empathetic. Would not recommend at this time.
