Dr. Robert J Resnik, MD

It is necessary that I have an Internist as a primary physician and Dr. Resnick is the best that I have gone to since receiving a diagnosis. He listens and talks to me instead of "at" me, if you know what I mean. His Nurse Practitioner has also been very attentive and compassionate. I highly recommend this practice.

After seeing Dr. Resnik and having such a bad experience, I wasn’t surprised to come to this website and read a review from a patient with a similar situation. He was dismissive and thoughtless with my treatment. He barely spent 5 minutes with me, and does not listen well. If he had listened well, and asked more questions, there may have been another course with my treatment. There was also no follow up on two different occasions.

This doctor has been our family physician by default for a number of years, primarily due to proximity and matching insurance coverage; however all us universally agree that he is just an unpleasant individual. He's dismissive, condescending, arrogant, and rarely spends time really understanding or investigating patient concerns. For years we blindly went along and just accepted his behavior as standard physician demeanor, but we recently realized how much each of us were really not enjoying this caregiving experience. We've often found ourselves seeking secondary opinions for truly sensitive diagnoses and he tend s to be combative whenever he encounters any pushback to his word at all. This doctor has a serious God complex and makes it clear that he'd rather be somewhere else than with you for the "fortunate" 5 minutes you have in his presence per visit.

Dr. Resnik through his listening to my issues and medical complaints diagnosed my heart disease early enough to help save my life when other physicians seemed to ignore the symptoms. My Cardiologist says over the years Dr. Resnik has picked up many patients with atypical symptoms that others have missed and help save their lives as well.

Wonderful doctor and great staff. So glad my friends recommended him to me. Has helped me tremendously with my medical issues . Caring considerate . Overall exceptional

Outstanding practice and Dr. Resnik and his staff are first rate. Really caring compassionate and listens . Everyone in practice is great. Staff very helpful. Very accommodating . Gets us in whenever we need to be seen. Overall would highly recommend as he has been there in Cary for a while and many of my friends also have highly recommended him

I like Dr. Resnik a lot. Many reviews refer to him being rude. That's not my experience at all. Maybe that's what I'm interpreting as a very practical approach. Maybe it's just personality preferences. Don't know but I like him. Also, it's easy to get in to see him and the office runs on time. I appreciate that. Maybe that's the result of what people are experiencing as his "one issue per visit" policy/preference. I guess I'd agree that he doesn't give me the "warm and fuzzies" but that's not what I value in a doctor.

Dr. Resnik is the best physician I ever had . He listened when other physicians ignored my issues and truly found out what was wrong with me. My co-workers, neighbors and several friends also see him and have nothing but high marks for him. One of the issues with some of these review sites is you find only those that want to complain write comments and for this one there is no real check for identification so you can say anything without recourse. Many of the other sites give him exceptional ratings which is why he has so many patients and many patients that have been seeing him for many years. I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone looking for a provider in the area. No doubt the best you will find

Cary Adult Medicine has been my primary doctor for almost 10 years. Whenever I have an urgent need to get in, they have always been able to accommodate me. They are reliable and trustworthy and I don’t feel like they would ever prescribe tests or meds that I don’t actually need (something I can’t say about the times I’ve been to specialists in the Duke network).
