2018 Sept 28. I began seeing Rob about a year ago. My therapist, needed to go back to the Mainland and referred me to Rob whom a therapist whom she shared the same office. About me... I am 63 years old. I have seen therapists and psychiatrists since I was 11 year old. In the past I have had many labels pasted on me. Such as but far from limited to: Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar, Paranoia, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression Anxiety Disorder, blah, blah, blah. I had been given hundreds of different drugs for these "conditions". I wasn't getting better I was getting much worse. I did my research and quite taking all of the head meds that I was on over the course of 2 years. A little over a year ago, I found a new therapist. Needing to temporarily return to the mainland , she referred me to her office mate... Dr. Rob Ressler. Rob as a therapist... At the time of this review he has been in practice for 10 ten years. Rob's style of therapy is a perfect fit for me. Upon… introduction, following the usual greetings, I explained my goals. "I don't expect you to fix me. Fixing me is my responsibility. I just need help finding the right roads to go down to get me where I am going. Because I keep getting myself lost " "I need someone who will be straight with me, and tell me what they see. I can't fix me without honesty" Over the this past year, Rob and I have done amazing work. As it turns out the past labels are invalid. I only carry one label these days. P.T.S.D. ... Trauma. With Rob's help, I am finally traveling on the "right roads". About Rob... He serves a broad population of clients, ranging from children to adults and people with Autism. He has a private practice, works in the local schools as a therapist and has been a professor. He has lived throughout the U.S. so he is familiar with many culture within America. Rob continues update his knowledge base. He has very good understanding about the brain, mind, and body connection. Rob is married with a son. He has faced many challenges in his life. He is very much a professional, but even more so... he is human. He is compassionate, and honest. I cannot thank him enough for his help. Pam C
