Dr. Robert David Rosenberg, MD

Dr. Robert Rosenberg graduated from University of California Riverside with Highest Honors earning a BA in Chemistry and Biology in 1975, and received his MD from Washington University, in St. Louis four years later. He took two years of training in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, before completing a Radiology Residency at the University of New Mexico HSC in 1984. He was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at University of Wisconsin Madison for 2 years before returning to the University of New Mexico as an Assistant Professor. He was on faculty there for 25 years becoming a Professor of Radiology in 1999, and Professor Emeritus in 2012. In January 2012 he joined Radiology Associates of Albuquerque.

During his career at University of New Mexico, he initially headed Oncology imaging, and then the Mammography section. He has extensive research experience in outcomes research, specifically mammography, having founded the New Mexico Mammography Project, a pilot …project of the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium (BCSC) in 1993. He was a member of the BCSC for over 15 years, and has 70 scientific publications. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, and a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging. He was a member of the FDA advisory panel for Radiologic Devices for 4 years, serving 2 years as Chairman. He is now a consultant to that panel.
