Dr. Robert Marc Rothberg, MD

My father suffered and died in pain because of this doctor. He does not seem to care about his negligence that caused my fathers death or the pain my family has suffered. He is a horrible man and heartless. He showed no remorse or concern.

Went to Dr Rothberg for years and referred several friends to him. He referred me to another Doctor and basically said he cannot help me any longer. He doesn't mind taking your money , he even performs the anesthesia when he does a colonoscopy on you ! Because he wants the money. The office is gross , has a huge dog roaming around the office and if you don't mind having a dog putting its head in your lap then you are good to go. This guy should retire

Beyond the best surgeon. Caring, compassionate and brilliant. Dr. Rothberg is very clear and spends more than enough time explaining your health issues and answers all questions. Both Dr. Rothberg and his office assistant Betsy are a rare combination of warm & caring professionals. They ALWAYS remind you when you are at the checkout that Dr. Rothberg is available 24x7 should you need to call in an emergency.... And he is !

I had been going to a gastro for 3 months and did every invasive test possible and still was not given the correct diagnosis. I had every prescription and OTC ever made for hemmorhoids (help was momentary), to no avail (because it wasn't hemmorhoids!). I felt like I was being ripped in half and someone was pouring lemon juice in the wounds! 3 months I suffered like this which is like a lifetime when you're in that much pain. The day of my last invasive test I was told I should see a surgeon. The DAY AFTER my appointment with Dr. Rotheberg I was pain free. He spent an hour talking to me and asking questions, did the exam and spoke to me some more about what was actually the problem. I am not exaggerating when I say he is the ONLY doctor that ever has spent that much time with me! I am so very grateful that I "stumbled" upon him. I was in so much pain that I couldn't drive, was constantly leaving work early, and spent the weekends laying down. Thank you Dr Rothberg for giving… me my life back!

This Docotr knows his stuff!!!

I was diagnosed with an anal fissure and Dr. Rothberg suggested sitz baths for a few weeks until the problem went away, and if it didn't, he would suggest a simple surgical procedure. I did the baths with some relief, but didn't fully heal. I was about to start graduate school and asked if he thought that surgery would be the way to go. We talked about the pros and cons which was good, and we decided it was the best way to eliminate the problem because I would need to be pain-free to start my graduate program. I went through with the surgery. The doctor was nice throughout all of that, but afterwards, when I went for follow up appointments, Dr. Rothberg was cold and rushed through appointments, even though I was experiencing pain and didn't feel I was healing properly. I was late for an appointment once, and the secretary called to remind me. I finally just said, no I'm not going to come in today. No one from the office ever called to follow-up or make sure things were healing properly… or that there wasn't a problem with the "service". I felt angry and sad about the experience. Doctors need to learn how to deal with patients as whole people who have feelings and a sense of well-being for themselves. Doctors are not saviors, they are people who others look to for caring and kindness, especially when dealing with such vulnerable parts of the human body.
