Dr. Robert Steven Rudenstein, MD

Rudenstein was briefly my doctor years ago. He was the RUDEST medical professional with whom I have ever interacted. I had visited him because I was experiencing terrible kidney pain. At the time I was a stay at home parent of a 2-year-old. My daughter was going through a phase where she would cry anytime I was talking on a phone. Rudenstein called me to follow up on my visit. When I picked up, like usual, my baby cried. I apologized for the all the noise. He responded “Maybe I should call back when the baby isn’t around.” I explained that the baby is always around, and asked him to please go ahead and tell me the lab results. He hung up on me. I called his office back but could only leave a voicemail. On a different day he called again, and again my baby cried. He got exasperated and in a snotty tone said “I can’t hear what you’re saying” and hung up. Again I called his office back and could only leave a voicemail. The third time he called, the baby cried again, and he just… hung up on me. Did not even say goodbye or anything. I then got a new doctor. It took weeks before I could get in to see someone new and in the meantime I was suffering in pain. Robert Rudenstien is a RUDE SMUG JERK. I get livid whenever I remember the way he treated me. Do not give this man your business. See someone else.

I had read the reviews, but decided to book the appointment anyway. My Dr. Told me my cortisol levels were dangerously low, and to see an endocrinologist ASAP. I was able to get an appointment the following week. I had gotten lost on my way, gps took me to a different location. I had called twice, stated my name and that I might be a few minutes late for my appointment. When I arrived I went to check in, the gentleman working sad oh he's not here today we tried to call people. I said I called twice and spoke to someone, why didn't they tell me then? I saw another girl sitting there, pretty sure I talked to her. I rebooked my appointment and was on my way. So, I arrived at my appointment the 2nd time, when checking in I swore the receptionist muttered something about him not being there. Then she asked for my referral. I said my dr faxed it a month a go. I went and sat down. About 40 minutes later she said they didn't have it, and never received my medical records or notes. I said… well can you call my dr, I'm sure he can fax it over. She said sorry we did no answer. She was like do you want to forget about making another appointment. I'm like I'm here now, she's like well your appointment was at 2:15 and now it's 2:50. It is a long drive for me, and especially for someone in bad health. I'm not sure if he wasn't in, and they didn't want to tell me, but I won't be going back a third time. I called my dr when leaving, and they answered right away. Staff really makes or breaks an office, and the people I met with didn't seem to care I was inconveniounced not once but twice.

I enjoy Dr Rudenstein, i have built a good relationship with him. He is a caring and dedicated doctor.

One of the most caring, well trained, communicative and intelligent physicians I have ever had in a long life of health problems. Thank heavens I have found this wonderful man!

Terrific ability to create an immediate peer relationship--a give and take as he reveals his thought process in responding to your health needs. Very careful look at all the data. Insightful questions. Great sense of humor. Reassures that you're in good hands. Follow up calls as well.

Easily the best doctor I have had, excellent bed side care and takes a great deal of time to know me as a whole person versus just the one symptom.

He was the worse doctor I've ever been to. I couldn't even ask him a question without him snapping at me. I guess he read these reviews because the last time I saw him he TRIED to act nicer. I had to ask for blood work to be done. He never followed up with me about the results, even though the tests showed that one of my levels were too low. I was informed after a year, that I needed to be on a certain medication. Needless to say, I have found a new doctor.

Very nice man, easy to talk to. Listens to my concerns. Thinks carefully about lab results. Always calls me with lab results, even normal ones. One of the few endocrinologists that doesn't have a months-long wait time for an appointment.

Why Dr. Feel Good? I'll tell you!! From the minute I walk into his office no matter what the issue is, it's all about me. The staff is wonderful. Dr. Rudenstein not only cares about my health he care about every aspect of my life. I have never felt more at ease with any doctor as I do with Dr. Rudenstein. When I leave his office I feel good, hopeful. Thank you Dr. Rudenstein!!!

So there's no denying that he's got a sense of sarcasm and he can be a little direct. But I've always felt like he's paying attention, asking the right questions, actually caring about how I'm doing (in an East-Coast, very un-mushy sort of way) and has always been very professional and helpful. And the office runs really well.
