Dr. Ruge was born in Dallas, Texas in 1956. His father was a mechanical engineer and moved the family to Phoenix in 1961. Dr. Ruge fell in love with northern Arizona and decided very early in his life that Flagstaff was where he wanted to live someday. After graduating from Arizona State University in 1978, he returned to Texas to attend dental school. After graduating in 1984, he returned back to Arizona. He practiced in Phoenix and Cottonwood and was able to relocate to Flagstaff in 1990, opening Woodlands Village Dentistry, P.C. He enjoys all phases of dentistry and the wonderful people he gets to meet. He and his wife, Libby, have two daughters, Lauren and Kelley. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Arizona Dental Society and the United States Dental Institute. Dr. Ruge enjoys camping, snow skiing, scuba diving, and just spending time with his family. He …attends many hours of continuing dental education every year in order to stay on the cutting edge of the newest dental techniques and materials.
