Dr. Ryan is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He completed a residency program in Hospital Dentistry at the University of California at San Francisco and was a member of the faculty in the School of Medicine and School of Dentistry for nine years. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral Medicine and Oral Biology, he was the Director of the General Practice Residency Program at UCSF. Dr. Ryan is a former instructor in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Ryan has completed training programs in Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and is the chairman of the Hospital and Geriatrics Committee and is on the Board of Directors …of the Northern California Dental Society. His outside interests include motor sports (particularly drag racing), skiing and scuba diving. Also, he is an instrument rated private pilot.
