Dr. Robert Drew Sackstein, MD

Very good first visit with Dr Sackstein for my elderly mother, to step in for another doctor in the practice who had seen my mother a couple years prior. We were very comfortable with Dr Sackstein and his calm reasonable approach. And pleased that he would pick up her care. However an experience today with a tech for an echocardiogram was unpleasant. The tech could not have been more detached from the patient and the discomfort my mother was in as the procedure continued. He was combative when I told him she was not comfortable. He never once asked if she was okay or needed to adjust position even after I started to give her legs support when she was trying to move to give her hip and back some relief. He was dispassionate and focused on his process but not the person. An elderly lady with an arthritic back who was in tears when the procedure was complete. I complained to the front desk at checkout. I hope Dr Sackstein and this practice review their patient interaction protocols… with all office and tech personnel. We look forward to working with Dr Sackstein again but will think twice before going through any lengthy elective testing unless required for specific issue.

Dr. Sackstein had and has the best bedside manner i have ever encountered in my life. he was tremendous. he helped me medically and made me feel good and laugh, which you couldn't ask for more. A+
